Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

"In This House, We Believe that..." (puts Roddy Pepper's sunglasses on): "INSUFFERABLE SELF-IMPORTANT HYPOCRITE"
Statistical anomalies are not normal. What do investigators do when they come across a cancer hotspot? Do they disregard them as "normal", or do they start looking for old industrial sites and their toxic waste plumes to understand the cause of the anomaly?? They are a red flag that something is wrong and needs further inspection. Likewise, (don't believe the 'news') demands for "proof" of election fraud are nonsense. Obviously when you send bipartisan poll-watchers away only to resume re-counting in secret, you are already hiding evidence of wrongdoing - that is all that is required to show bad faith and allow lawsuits to proceed to court-monitored discovery. Good podcast on Viva Frei / Barnes Law last night, recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPNhiTExv1Q In this house, we believe that Black Lives Matter.
"Walking around my sleepy, shoreline town in Connecticut, I routinely see Black Lives Matter signs outside the most opulent homes, whose residents are (I can attest) often white, over-educated, white-collar, impossibly snobbish, and perversely provincial." What kind of jerk would even say this? So first of all, his town is sleepy. Does that mean old-fashioned? Or quiet and comfortable? Well, we can't have a bunch of quiet comfortable honkeys walking around. And they live in opulent homes? Do you mean that they worked a lot and bought nice houses? That's terrible! Everybody should live in a tar-paper shack, in the name of equality. And let's be honest, nice neighborhoods without blacks and mexicans are so boring anyway. Those white people are real snoozers. But that's no surprise, because they're over-educated. They probably sit around talking about Plato all day. That's why they're so snobbish. All those crackers think that saggy pants and crack cocaine and low-riders and drive-by shootings are only for the lower class. They don't know that really high class people use heroin and shoplift, too. So they're not so great. They should get down off of their high horse. And if that wasn't bad enough, they're perversely provincial. They have family ties in the area going back two hundred years! What kind of stupid people would do that? Real Americans move thousands of miles away from home, and then become lonely and disoriented. Every girl who graduates from college is supposed to do that. Don't white people know anything? I suspect election fraud is messy and chaotic, at best. It can be consistent or sporadic. The motivation may vary from individual to individual, location to location. It may or may not be coordinated. It can occur on many levels: individual , local, systemic. Sydney Powell seems to be saying the greater part of the damage was systemic and electronic. No doubt, it would take some sort of savant to pull together the different threads of evidence to make a coherent case. Further, I would guess that to have any hope of success, the WH would have had to anticipate the electronic manipulation and been able to collect evidence in real time, in order to present a timely case. Did Team Trump have anyone that prescient? Will there be a smoking gun? How would you feel if his case relies on just a preponderance of the evidence? I don’t know how Trump prevails with all the forces arrayed against him. It sure would be great if he succeeds in presenting his case to the courts or the state legislatures. It would be better for Working America, if he does. Gorgeous photo. I dare say an image of the New England Fall ideal. We are well past that moment here in southern Maine.

Martian microbes: sacred Unborn humans: Lebensunwertes Leben Thanks for posting, had never read that term and now it's chilling to learn. When Social Security runs out of "money" expect to see posters like the one in the Wikipedia entry. It will be your duty to off yourself lest you burden the state or someone may have to "help" you.
I know that you're joking around, but the issue of what to do with tens of millions of old people is serious. We can't stick children with the task of keeping their parents alive. Can you imagine all those half-dead zombies sitting in the living room for years? They will take up everyone's time and money, and it won't do a bit of good, because they won't have any quality of life anyway. I'm sure you know that a hundred years ago in America, life expectancy was only around fifty. But now, with modern medicine, we can keep old people alive up until the age of one hundred. That matters, because you seem to think that euthanasia is unnatural. In fact, artificially extending human life with drugs is unnatural. We can't have a nation of cripples. When people get old around the age of seventy, they have to continue the life cycle. Death is part of the social contract.
Ron - it very much depends on the old person. Mum was 99 when a stroke finally took her away; her last months were not great, but up until a year before she had been living on her own - albeit with assistance. I won't say being the "daughter on call" was easy, but we would not have had it any other way.

Two quotes: "For corporate America the calculation is simple. What’s easier, giving up business models based on war, slave labor, and regulatory arbitrage, or benching Aunt Jemima? There’s a deal to be made here, greased by the fact that the “antiracism” prophets promoted in books like White Fragility share corporate Americas instinctive hostility to privacy, individual rights, freedom of speech, etc." "A core principle of the academic movement that shot through elite schools in America since the early nineties was the view that individual rights, humanism, and the democratic process are all just stalking-horses for white supremacy. The concept, as articulated in books like former corporate consultant Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility (Amazon’s #1 seller!) reduces everything, even the smallest and most innocent human interactions, to racial power contests." It is a related phenomenon to bumper stickers and decals. It used to be that a small percentage of lots of types might plaster there vehicles with them. Nowadays, if you see one up ahead it is a liberal with a dozen mini-sermons on the back. I can count on two hands with fingers left over the number of people I want unsolicited opinions from about politics, sexual preference and religion. I blame social media for this odd belief that anyone really cares what a rando thinks about a given topic. Once you get the dopamine hit from gramming your breakfast in Napa the sanctimonious yard signs are close behind.
Better not come to San Francisco. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a house/apartment block where the front windows are festooned with posters and proclamations of the belief systems of the residents. Much of these things popped up in the wake of the riots back in the spring/early summer, and have just become fixtures. I think a goodly number of them were originally put up as some sort of woke talisman to indicate that their houses were "down with the cause" lest a band of looters decide to cause mayhem. Problem is, it won't matter by that point.
Now that I have one, the sign on the back gate reads, "Black Labs Matter."

Biden Asks Republicans To Give Him A Chance Democrats Never Gave Trump: Turn About Is FAIR PLAY... Israeli assassins secretly killed al-Qaeda terror leader in Tehran, reports NY Times: I am SOOOOOOOO not bummed. "Democrats Rigged the Voting Machines... Prove it, please"
That is exactly the point! The media, the left and even a double handful of Republicans don't want to allow you to prove it and will pull out all the stops to prevent shining light on this crime. We watched over the last 24 months as the Democrats set up the new world order voting requirements exactly so that it would be near impossible to prove. Right at this moment we have days left to prove it. There is a hard and fast end to any possibility of changing election results and everyone is standing shoulder to should to run out the clock. There is an endless list of liberal judges who will throw a monkey wrench into any legal effort to prove the fraud. This happens in every election in the U.S. and the only people who should be happy with it are those who steal the election. Everyone else should be outraged. Your constitutional republic is being stolen from you right in front of your eyes. Those who gather under 1st amendment rights to protest are being beaten by "brown shirts" while the police stand by. We've seen this script before. Do you really want to go quietly into the good night? Are you really that willing to give up? The evidence is literally over whelming. Who were those people that showed up pulling wagon loads of illegal ballots? Why aren't they perp walked to a court to explain where the ballots came from? What about those "officials" caught on camera refusing to allow any Republicans in to watch or participate in the vote count? Who were the judges, supervisors, politicians who allowed unsigned mail in ballots to be counted? EVEN IF they are not ever brought to trail shouldn't they be arrested and exposed? The point here is this is EXACTLY why voter fraud is never proved and our local, state and federal justice systems are complicit in this massive cover-up. God forbid that someone tie a rope on a garage door you will get 15 FBI agents falling over themselves to find out who did it. But steal the presidential election and all we hear from those whose job it is to root out corruption is "MEH". We went to the MAGA rally on Saturday. There was a good turnout. Very enthusiastic and friendly people. Our kind of folks. Tens of thousands of people were there. I would be hard pressed to say a million. Although there are ways to count that are more effective than my savant guessing. I’m quite pleased at the level of support that our president is receiving. Best President Ever!!!
"Jake Tapper, Anthony Fauci: Christmas Is Probably Not Going To Be Possible With Virus"
Christmas was celebrated during the Spanish flu and two world wars as well as countless other historical events far more horrific and trying for humanity than COVID-19 could ever be. That's entirely the point of course. "Parvulus enim natus est nobis, et filius datus est nobis, et factus est principatus super humerum eius: et vocabitur nomen eius, Admirabilis, Consiliarius, Deus, Fortis, Pater futuri saeculi, Princeps pacis." re NY Times' Michigan Data: Massive Vote Dump at 6AM Wednesday (96% for Biden) Used To Overcome Huge Trump Lead
Unusual but possible. Statistical anomalies are statistically normal. So why do these "statistical anomalies" always favor Biden? Is an anomaly that ALWAYS favors Dems a normal statistical outome as well? "How to open blister packs with no scissors"
Speaking of all that constant the-children-are-our-future bloviating, one of the principal reasons these annoying and wasteful blister packs were invented was to reduce shoplifting by - in large part - young adolescents. Too bad that the Redline quote has to repeat the mantra about Biden being likable.
I guess that they buy into the idea that phony smiles, back slapping and neck sniffing constitute likability. Scratch the surface veneer and you find--nothing. |
