Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Trump as a Flawed person:
Dear John Kelly: Self aware, much? It’s not about Trump; it never was about Trump. Middle America is rejecting the Prog world view; China appeasing globalism, undermining of working America, the grotesque SJWs, and the malevolent cancel culture. It’s been 4 years and you are still in the dark. It was ramping up before Trump came down the elevator. Regular Americans don’t want to give up their heritage and rights, they don’t want a top down government and economy run by unaccountable bureaucratic regulators, they don’t want to be the world’s piggy bank, they don’t want to make the world safe for multinationals, in short, they they don’t want America to be China’s handmaid. Most Americans recognize that "Trump always be selling.", so yeah, hyperbole. They also know that a lot of Trump's bombshells are a tool to get over, under, around and through the white noise and static thrown up by the media and other shills. Trump is the most transparent, most pro-America, most pro-citizen, and most honest president in the last 100 years. THAT is the problem. Almost everyone in our federal government is the opposite and they are there to make money, become rich off their position. Trump is impeding their efforts and must go. Instead of investigating Trumps taxes and wealth how about investigating Pelosi or Feinstein. Or let's look at Obama, a multi-multi-millionaire because... Money was laundered and given to Obama, why? Was it from foreign countries? God knows he did more for them than he ever did for America in his 8 years. Investigate Biden.
But it is quite clear we cannot do it with our existing DOJ and FBI. Clean house! Fire everyone and start over. It's probably too late to do any of these things but there is one thing that Trump could still do to fight the swamp even if he fails to be re-elected; release the documents! Declassify and release everything that the FBI, CIA, DOJ and other government departments have been doing for years. I'm sure the disgruntled former employee is exaggerating, but Trump does seem to be far from perfect.
But I'm not voting for someone to be my friend. I'm voting for Trump to represent my interests. Much like hiring a lawyer, most of whom aren't personally lovable either. I disagree with Ms. Noonan on two things.
Its just Democrats and it happened a long time ago. A couple of people we know voted for Trump in the last election, but are screaming they hate the guy because he tweets so much. Unfortunately they don't seem to realize if he didn't tweet the crooked media would never put out anything he says. One says he will still vote for Trump, but hate his tweets and the terrible things he says sometimes. I guess they think another that behaves like the previous pansy behaves better. Really??!!
I listened to the entire confirmation hearing for Clarence Thomas back then due to traveling in my truck. I never could decide which one was not telling the truth but after watching his actions and listening to the crap Kavenaugh was accused of I have certainly decided. Paid shills from the Dems trying to turn the the Supreme Court. Love Thomas.... "Former WH COS John Kelly has told friends, about Trump:..."
Did he really, now? No - seriously. After 4 years of this unmitigated bullsh*t of one unconfirmed story after another - Did he, really? A retired Marine Corps general with a later career as a public spokesman for the POTUS, but he doesn't know how to make himself heard unless it's through unnamed anonymous sources. You are probably right, I was deceived by the quotation marks.
J. Crew, like Gap, made quality, classic clothing in the ‘80s. Now it’s overpriced, ugly trendy, cheap crap.
How fed up? This fed up.
"We will not be playing the National Anthem; Let's Play Ball twitter.com/i/status/1317046143939940353 Re: Watch her build an underground home
I’ve seen a few of these. They are very interesting but for some reason, I have begun to doubt their authenticity. In this one, she makes a clay bed with two night stands and a stove. Each night stand and the stove appear to have ornamental drawers. Why would she do that? For our benefit? It also appears she is in Southeast Asia or at least a similar place. What is going to happen to her house when it rains, as the vegetation implies will happen a lot? I totally agree. There are half a dozen workers behind the scene making this happen. It is entertainment nothing more. I might add that all of our TV 'reality' shows are no different. Some of them do illustrate 'reality' and maybe this is the only way to do it for general consumption. But they are still phony, scripted contrived entertainment.
The world's first audio recording was made in 1859, not by Edison
QUOTE: At the French site Anecdote du Jour you can listen to the world's first audio recordings, made in 1859 and 1860 by Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville. The recordings, one of a tuning fork being struck and two of de Martinville singing, are scratchy and thoroughly eerie. All the more so because de Martinville himself never heard them. In fact, nobody heard them until 2008. The reason we credit Edison with the invention of recorded audio and not de Martinville is that de Martinville failed to invent a way to play back his recordings. De Martinville's phonautograph turned sound waves into 2-dimensional squiggles on soot-blackened paper or glass. It was meant to be a lab instrument, to help study acoustics, not a method of recording and playing back sound. Apparently, several decades passed before anybody even realized the sounds could, theoretically, be played back. https://boingboing.net/2011/12/15/the-worlds-first-audio-recor.html I have always eaten oysters, R or not.

It's getting worse for them. One of Hunter's pals, Bevan Cooney, who ended up in jail (another of his pals, Devon Archer is awaiting sentencing) and he has figured out that he was a fall guy. He gave written Peter Schweizer his gmail password and written permission to publish his emails. They paint a pretty damaging picture of Hunter, Joe and the Chinese. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/10/16/exclusive-this-is-china-inc-emails-reveal-hunter-bidens-associates-helped-communist-aligned-chinese-elites-secure-white-house-meetings/ Will the DOJ finally look into this and will the press finally report on it? "The press" will never report on Hunter Biden or any of the graft and corruption unless someone Makes them report.
They have to be forced to report any thing true. Climate lies, Covid lies, DNC lies, lies about people are all they are allowed to report right now. re CDC Report Shows That Of COVID Infected People, 71% Had “Always” Worn Masks
As one who thinks wearing masks is odious and a waste of time, my inclination is to believe the 71% is an inflated number. QUOTE: “In the 14 days before illness onset, 71% of case-patients and 74% of control participants reported always using cloth face coverings or other mask types when in public,” the report stated. I would speculate that if a person was running around without a mask and then contracted the virus, they would be reluctant to relay that fact to a recording official, especially if not wearing a mask was illegal and subject to fine. Furthermore, who would want to listen to the scolding for not wearing one? It would be much like being in a low impact fender bender collision and answering the investigating cop when he asks if you were wearing your seatbelt. Would you say no? Of course not. Claims that trump signs and american flags traumatize black people is a clever ploy to shut down the opposing party. Dems are going around stealing signs from yards (as they did in 2016).
On covid: what matters is deaths, not cases. US deaths have been flat (and low) since June. Cases depend on testing which has become much more available. In my town of almost 200,000 there has been 1 death in 2 months. It is absurd to be scared by that. "Must watch" video regarding Covid-19
