Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

So where does Scooter Libby go to recover his reputation and resume his career?

If I was Scooter, it would start at Richard Armitage's house with a baseball bat. Thanks Dick for saying nothing while Scooter is being crucified legaly and in the press.

RE: Americans needing passports to return to the US from Canada.

This legislation appears to be coming down the pipe regardless.

I think that Americans still will not need a passport to come to Canada.

They will need a passport to cross back into the USA.

I am just waiting for the first big Michigan games when all the NY football fans have trouble getting back into their own country. I wonder if Homeland Security has thought of that. They must have, right? Also passports for all those college kids and their families will be pricey.

The cow pictures are making me sorry I am not going to get to the NY State Fair this year.

They have such great animal barns and shows there.

If you ever get a chance to go the rabbits and the chickens alone are worth the price of admission.

I see Spitzer and Ex-Pres. and Sen. Clinton will be there this week. It costs $500 to attend their "intimate affair" at the fair. IIRC, Ms. Clinton loved the sausage and peppers sandwiches there too or so she claimed during her Senate run. It made headlines as her opponent Rick Laslo (sp?) said he did not really care for them. Now that is news. I would guess that post open heart surgery the sausage sandwiches are off the menu for the Mr. Clinton.

Also the Syracuse paper had an article today saying Spitzer has hit a little ethics bump in his campaign for NY gov. by giving away thousands of dollars in free NYS fair admission tickets for those who will be attend his barbeque there.
