In the 1980's I ran an Art & Crafts wholesale company and we were one of the largest distributors of Bob Ross books and supplies. I became aquatinted with him at the national trade shows, just enough for recognition and have him say hi but he would draw crowds of folks in the trade who loved to watch him paint and talk. From what I saw real life Bob was a good guy.

At that time there were a lot of one session wet on wet technique painting classes all over the USA but Bob had so much talent and presentation that it was peaceful and soothing watching him and he was a great teacher, we sold a lot of art supplies to his followers.

Happy little trees are more inspiring than performance/ugly art that is subsidized by the taxpayers. Call it welfare art as it wouldn't exist on its own.

We were watching Bob Ross for a while last night before we turned on what we planned on watching in the first place.

My young kids like watching his show, too.

A long time ago--mid 1950's we lived very close to Hollywood. We had moved to CA in search of jobs. As my mom would say, "a place where there were jobs and opportunity and sunshine!" Once or twice a month on a weekend night (Friday or Saturday), we would drive into Hollywood and eat at a drive-in diner. Then we would walk Hollywood Blvd. On Friday night many of the small shops stayed open until the impossible hour of 8 o'clock. Many of the small shops were places of imported products. The shops were operated by Chinese, Indians, Jewish, etc. Many of these people were recent escapees from the horrors of war. Outside one of the closed shops in front of the door in the under the shelter of the building's foyer a German man painted just in the way that Bob Ross paints. I have always wondered if he was Bill Alexander. I am quite sure that is how he got his start in America.

One seldom addressed problem normal, decent, productive, rational and patriotic Americans face is that this leftoxenomorph thing that is attacking us has among its most evil of characteristics that it uses our virtues and our energy turning them around as weapons against us, to demoralize us, to defeat us, to conquer us and to enslave those weak enough and to kill the others.

Our energy they get by the theft of our taxes as subsidies to a million and one leftoxenomorph causes that the governments, state and federal, “generously” grant to so many of them.

Yes, we are forced to pay for the destruction of our country and our enslavement.

When we are working productively as decent people do, part of our efforts are going to fatten our enemies and provide them with whatever they fancy to destroy our way of life and enslave us to the collectivism they crave.

And our virtues, our benevolence, our tolerance, our live and let live, our seeing the other point of view, our self-doubts, our moral panic when accused of something we are not but find it strangely difficult to counter, our tendency to experience fundamental guilt, an acquired taste that comes, sadly enough, from Judeo-Christianity.

We are being attacked by an enemy, leftoxenomorphism, that knows each and every weakness of ours, who reads in our eyes and our reluctance to just blow their heads off, our self doubt and our basic inability to defend something as precious as Americanism.

What we have is the most valuable thing every produced on this planet: the Constitutional Republic the United States of America, clean, sane, good and decent and glorious beyond the imagination of whoever the first who coined the notion of glory.

And we are close to letting it all go down the drain because of our mistaken sense of benevolence instead of carrying out a swift massacre of our enemies who are nothing but low lives maggots and bottom feeder parasites who have abused and are abusing the virtues of their neighbors.

What we need is a fast dose of hate for their evil, hate not BS, pure, unmitigated hate for evil, a healthy thing and then cruelty.

A healthy dose of cruelty to deal with them as the neo-nazis they are and give them the same we gave to the 1930’s german nazis when it came the time to deal with them.

And time’s running out.

And then turning down our benevolence and our tolerance to rational levels so as to never again allow leftoxenomorphs to thrive in our midst.

America for Americans!!

This isn't the Left eating its own, this is the Left eating itself. Won't it be interesting to see what comes out at the George Floyd trials regarding the toxicity of the various illicit substances found in his bloodstream.

It appears that George Floyd died from drug over dose. The cop was actually doing the right thing. Once he recognized that Big George was having physical symptoms of overdose he got him out of the car and on his stomach and radioed for medics. But big George was convulsing and flailing around which would only make his breathing problem worse so the officer used the knee on the neck, an authorized technique for a suspect who won't comply, in an effort to keep Big George on his stomach. The medics came but by then it was too late, Big George's choice of drugs had done him in. But for the uninitiated having a knee on his neck and the death seemed to be "brutal". His death was "brutal" of course as all drug overdoses are. But quickly the left realized that this tragedy could be useful and began to hype it. The MSM also saw the news value in hyping this death and disregarded accuracy in favor of anarchy. What we need now is a lawyer like the one the Covington kid got to sue the MSM to benefit the officers who were unjustly accused of murder.

Maybe there's no point in responding to such clap-trap but I can't help myself. God, help me.

Let's start with the authors contention that Katherine Kersten is a racist, in part, because she claims she isn't. And the author would certainly say she is a raciest if she said she was. Cute bit of logic there. It is nice to hear that he considers himself a racist (but not the icky kind!).

The author goes on to prattle about Jim Crow and slavery but those were instituted because of the color of anyone's skin. In the case of slavery, it was just a continuation of a system that had been in existence for millennia. But of course, there's more to the story, isn't there? There were white people who fought to preserve it. And, for the most part, they fought other white people who wanted to abolish it. Those people who fought to preserve it were Democrats. In the case of Jim Crow, Democrats were again the institutionalizers of racism. It wasn't white people. It was Democrats.

The author pays no attention to differences in culture - in fact, I'd dare say bringing that up would mean you're a racist. The fact is that blacks kill blacks at a much higher rate than whites kill blacks or whites. In fact, blacks commit an outsized proportion of all crime and are much more likely to drop out of school and get and stay married. If the culture is destructive to your advancement, then is it a wonder why there is less of it?

The author is a dolt. He is probably a genuine racist too.

A black man elected President of the United States not once but twice. Multiple black athletes and entertainers adored by the public and earning millions upon millions of dollars. Black people creating successful businesses. Jackson Nelson-Pallmeyer, whoever he is, is not going to convince me that "white privilege" is a problem, or even a thing.

Hundreds of thousands of White men did the ultimate sacrifice, gave up their lives, to free Black slaves. The time for reparations has come.
Millions of White Americans have been the victims of racially motivated crimes perpetuated by Blacks. They need restitution.
White people built America, and Europe too. They deserve respect, not derision.
