I have seen what is happening to Christianity like this liberal twit "woman" Episcopal priest and I understand why Christianity in churches is having difficulty. Denominations seem to be trying to overthrow their believers by promoting and putting in radical leftists. I think she wouldn't know something Christian if it hit her in the face. And, why do so many female religious leaders seem to be so "nutso"?

The Methodist church of which we've been a member for almost twenty years is becoming more woke every day. When many were arguing for gay and transgender marriage and pastors, we were disheartened (For the record, I welcome all to come to our church including gays. We are all sinners. But I refuse to be a party to celebrating sins.). Then a new project to support public (not all) education was started (This is at least misguided and a waist of energy. Public schools have been horrible and expensive for decades. It's past time for school choice.). Now with people burning down our cities, we're being asked to pray for God to "convict us to recognize racism is a sin." Apparently, we might not be aware of that. That was the last straw. We will greatly miss the many fine people we've met and worked with over the years.

We are supposedly Methodist too, but when Obama was running and the minister suggested we vote for him we almost walked out. Since then we have all but stopped going and are hoping to find a church we like. A couple of years ago I looked at what some leftists Methodist clergy were pushing and it was giving some our money to total lesbian and gay rights groups pushing gay marriage and such. I have had a number of gay friends in the past in business but I do not condone the church going against what I was taught.

There is considerable doubt as to whether the Episcopal Church can be considered Christian any more. No doubt there are faithful believers amongst the congregations, but the hierarchy and senior laypeople have been straying from the gospel for many years. If you want Biblically faithful Christians from the Anglican tradition, you'll have to find a congregation affiliated with the American Anglican Council (AAC), the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), or the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC).

I was living in L.A. in the Rodney King era. It got a bit tiresome breathing second hand smoke from all the fires but at least it burned up some of the litter as well. L.A. will never learn.

Ha. New York's still got it, the title for the most chaotic place on earth. First we have The Debacle on 34th Street at Macy's, then we have Trading Places with the two lawyers - apparently they both throw just like girls. They shouldn't have any trouble getting jobs though, there are plenty of opportunities for work in federal prison. Then we have crowds chanting for the removal of de Blasio, the guy they all just voted for. Never change, NYC. And please, never move, either.

Most of these protests aren't protesting anything. It's five finger discount time and a little payback against the Man.

To that end, a Las Vegas policeman was shot in the head a few days ago at a protest and and is on life support.

So ... justice done? You fucks with the chants and the signs can go home now.

Lefties who think of themselves as revolutionaries . . . or perhaps they were just out there throwing Molotovs for the thrill of it all?

The one was a Princeton grad, and the first thing I thought of when I read this was, his life is over. I don't see how he ever gets another job as a lawyer with this on his record. How many kids would have loved to have filled that spot and spent their lives building society and not burning it down? What a waste.

However, he may have a rich and influential daddy, and perhaps pop can fix this for him?

Or maybe these lawyers can find a job with a radical 'non-profit' such as the SPLC. A felony conviction for fighting 'the man' might actually be a resume enhancer, don't you think?

Re: systemic racism among police

From what I have learned over the years it sounds like a small percentage (3-5%) of problem cops generates 90% of all the complaints. They need to be fired but the police unions make it nearly impossible to fire these problem cops. So the actual problem that we could actually solve — in theory — starts there.

Of course it’s far more complicated than that, because no politician actually has the will or the inclination to fix it, because they can hammer the issue every day to fool people into voting for them based on lies. Same as it ever was ...

Not my original thought, I picked up reading an article at Crisis, but I’ll run with it: How do we know the officer in the Floyd case is racist? No doubt the officers involved are thugs, should be charged under the criminal code, and should never be police again. Even before I read the article, it has been nagging me about the report of Floyd and Chauvin working together. How do we know that Floyd knew the $20 was counterfeit? He might have received it as change. Nobody knows. Maybe Floyd and Chauvin had some dispute while working together.

I have know doubt there are racist cops, both black and white. I also have know doubt that there are cops who get a great charge out of using a little extra force during an arrest. What I have no doubt about is that there is a large contingent of people in the democrat party, who use race as a cudgel to sow division in America. George Soros and Barack Obama are the financier and figurehead, in that order.
