It's disappointing that CNN's Brian Stelter is diverting so many resources to monitor the broadcasting content of other news networks, as if it's a bigger deal.

Doesn't he know that 2,000 Americans are dying every day from the Wuhan Corona virus?

Pre Covid - we had 7500 a day dying of all causes.

Now we've got only 2000 a day of Covid.

This is a net saving of 5000 a day. So... a net plus? ;)

What a horrible message for their daughters: you cost your mother her dream. Even if that's how Mrs Obama feels, she should have been adult enough to keep this to herself rather than letting the whole world knows what she really feels about the girls.

What I find interesting is that the press corps would rather fight with the messenger than gather news. It shows a profound lack of maturity on their part, and it's been this way for a long time.

So, back to what might pass as a normal week - the TMC seemed fairly busy towards the end of the week. Quite a lot of vehicle traffic around Houston as well...
the Volunteer Coordinator told us that the number of patients across the system continues to drop, and that several units floors have been converted back to standard configurations.
Also - out for dinner with friends in a north Houston suburb (The Woodlands) on Saturday, and frankly one would've been hard pressed to note that anything was "shut down" or even restricted, save movie theaters. Countless folks walking/running/biking/etc...

I'm not so sure I would agree with the less civilized behavior of the teenagers back in the 60's, or maybe it is what has happened to the "culture" in our society now in America. All you have to do is watch a group/gang of teenagers here n the news to see what might happen in a bad situation. When they gang up on someone they don't like or want to get even with is isn't peaceful.

I am betting that Michelle Obama has been misquoted or cast in an unfavorable light that she would not appreciate. I don't think there are many mothers out there that would voice regret over choosing parenthood over unbridled ambition, and I don't think M.O. would include herself in that group - especially here, when a short quote from a documentary is presented around Mother's Day. As if her daughters wouldn't notice.

Not a fan of any Obama, and I've been pretty disgusted by what M.O. has had to say on other occasions about her experiences in the US, casing herself as disadvantaged when she had an upper-middle-class upbringing. 'Ungrateful' comes to mind, with 'unworthy' waiting in the wings. But I dislike the insidious guiding bias much, much more, and hold it in much higher contempt.

So help me understand. Sure there are busybodies and just stupid people. But as "Karens" is defined the individual complaining about "Karies" are themselves "Karens". The very disagreeable traits they dislike in Karens are reflected in their own actions. For those neo-Karens who dislike the other Karens can I suggest that we have the Facebook censors decide what we all can say. OR, and I know this is controversial, we could live by the 1st amendment.

So if I understand, not getting everything that you want is now a form of trauma. Well, we're going to have to fix that! From now on, black people will no longer be traumatized by old cars, or small apartments, or last year's fashion. The government will heal the black community with lots of money! Anything less than total happiness is trauma caused by white people.

RE Lord of the Flies: I heartily recommend " Island of the Lost: shipwreck at the Edge of the World" as a most excellent true life story of 2 simultaneous ship wrecks in the Aucklands. Both crews were unaware of each other and one was Lord of the Flies book version while the other was Lord of the Flies reality kids with special guest, MacGyver. I believe based on such stories of Survival! or accidental survival it is a 2 sided coin based on leadership.

Re Obama coup - Rush nailed it as it was happening and he also suggested this kind of Dem surveillance was not unique to Trump or 2016.

I recently read "Island of the Blue Dolphins", Scott O'Dell, which is actually a YA book based on the true story of a 12 yr old native girl stranded alone for 18 years on an island near Santa Catalina off the California coast in the 19th century. It's a fascinating lesson on how to survive alone in the wilderness.

Thanks for recommending Island of the Lost...will have to look for that.

Michelle Obama says that having children cost her her dreams?

She was wealthy and had all the help she needed. How was she stopped from doing whatever she wanted to do?

When I had children I had no other dreams than to be with them and help them thrive. I was so in love. Is that what Michelle is saying? She had to give up her dreams to live a new dream?
