We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Join the Hate Trump Club

It is not an exclusive club. Funny how people enjoy having things to hate. As they say, haters gotta hate. Hatred is recreational for people, or at least for some people. 


Feel free to explain the psychology of that. 


Speaking of clubs, Trump was one of the first guys to make an exclusive club in Florida open to Jews and blacks.

They don't "hate" Trump. In fact many of them liked Trump just fine until he got elected. Most of the never Trumpers had a plan and in most cases that plan involved some version of becoming rich and powerful at the expense of America and it's citizens. Trump is interfering with those plans. Not so much out a intentional effort to interfere with them but simply because Trump puts American and Americans first. They aren't after Trump, they are after us. Trump just happens to be in the way.

I'm sure it was somewhere in that screed but a quick scan did not reveal it to me.
WHY do they hate him?
I've yet to get a coherent answer from anyone on that. Yes, they come up with the lying, the braggadocio, the ego; all the elements that make up any politician; specially at that level.
Most manage to subvert these so called defects. Trump embraces them.
Is that WHY they hate him?
Or are they simply jealous?

Do folks here realize that Congress has now literally run away from D.C., leaving Trump to fight the virus by himself?? They are worried D.C. is going to descend into anarchy and violence as the virus spreads there.

Tearing things down is much easier than building things up. It's a thoughtless, effortless path that requires no effort or responsibility. Hatred falls into this category. Hating Trump is easier than blaming yourself for something.

I saw a Yahoo news “promoted” tweet yesterday about how Trump’s name on those stimulus checks might hurt him politically. Because that’s important right now somehow, to someone. Right.
