" Germany Closes Border To Europeans, But Migrants Still Allowed In" A couple of years ago while on vacation I had a conversation with a youngish German guy. I told him what I thought Merkle was doing to their country and he was aghast that I would think such a thing. He loved the job she was doing and was convinced she/Germany was sending all the migrants back to their home countries. Obviously their media is lying like our does. I bet if you asked that guy today he would still believe the same nonsense he had been fed a few years ago. Oh, and he was totally convinced Donald Trump was insane, who is insane, I would say the leader of her own country that wants to destroy her own people.

Some years back there was a commenter here at Maggie's that was from Germany and he was equally sure that the migrants were being sent home. Horst somebody or other . . .

It's the same all over Europe.
We're told there are only a few thousand of them (not hundreds of thousands, or millions, who knows by now), and that they're extradited if they're found not to be genuine refugees.

What we're not told is that the checks on them are a laugh, and that even if they are extradited that just means they're told they have to leave the country within X days, but there's where it stops.
They're not actually put on a flight home and getting blacklisted. So 99% of them disappear into the underground, often reapplying for asylum under another name and with a new sob story given to them by the same groups that got them into the EU in the first place.
And more often than not the people investigating them for asylum status are themselves the same hippies that run those NGOs, so they're not really at any risk of being denied at all.

Meanwhile nursing homes and hospitals are being closed to free up funds to house them all, and rental homes are being reserved for them while natives are put on ever longer waiting lists, often having to wait 10 years or more for a small rental apartment.

They are so overwhelmed right now that while they are trying anything, great for the patient if it works, but not so good for useful data.

Saw an article that physocians in Italy were using chloroquine, 2 of the HIV antivirals, and steroids. No details, however.

Shameful media still slamming Donald Trump during coronavirus crisis: Goodwin. Much of the rest of the "media" as well as the NYT and the WaPoo. I don't watch TV "news" .

How soon we forget that Mayor deBlasio only two weeks ago was urging everybody to go outside for group hugs to show how non-dangerous the virus was! Mayor, how about you set an example by resigning!

JJ Sefton over at Ace of Spades blog has a great rant up this a.m.

He discusses the dems obstruction of the stimulus bill and provides counter proposals for the GOP to include in the bill.

His closing remark:

I isn't the President who ordered the lockdowns. He declared a State of Emergency. Governors took the drastic closure measures all by themselves. Some city Mayors tried to out do their Governors by issuing even orders on top of orders. Look at your Governor if you don't like being bullied.

Some of my employees are freaking out "we're all going to die" Really? What has changed? Work through the logic tree: You may get sick, or not. You may get sick and get better, or need treatment. You may go to the hospital and find it is Full. That risk was already there yesterday. Society just wasn't in crisis mode adding to Stress.

The Arizona couple ingested a teaspoon each. That's about 5 grams, a/k/a 5000 mg, when the dose that's been talked about in recent medical articles is max 500mg.

But it's clearly President Trump's fault.

The press is simply full of bad people. I'm sorry, but there's no way to excuse this coverage.
