It is difficult to know with any certainty that the corona virus will be as bad as our worse fears. But it is clear now that it will disrupt our and the worlds economy substantially. I am concerned for my own health of course, for my children and grandchildren and for everyone. My fear is that because this illness may overwhelm our health care system that people will die from lack of medical care. My local hospital has less than 100 beds but there are perhaps 100,000 citizens in the greater community. What happens when those 100 beds are full? Or when the doctors and nurses are overworked or even themselves become ill?

The USA was more successful than Canada in managing the containment of SARS. The hallmark of American infectious disease control is disposability. It is very expensive but cheaper in the long run. I hope the cov-2 task force has fixed the supply chain of medical PPE and other supplies.
I'd like to know when the globalists and financialists are going to be raked over the cials for contributing to the loss if control over supply chains for critical items. Money can sure make sophisticated and successful people myopic. You have to be very cocooned to be so complacent over the possibility of severe disruptions.

"College accused of ‘cultural appropriation’ after ‘mostly white’ choir sings black spirituals" When our old mostly white church choir sang spirituals it just didn't have the feeling that the same spiritual has when sung by a black choir. Ridiculous for someone to claim cultural appropriation. If that was the case, then that black woman should be eating only greens and chitlins and nothing that whites eat. If we can't sing your songs then you can't eat our "white" food.

I don't see anything happening to change the status quo.

1) I don't yet see enough political support in rural areas for secession.
2) Leftists never willingly cede power. Rural areas will never be allowed to leave.

It will get much worse and may never get better.

The Supreme Court ruled that teachings religion in public schools is taboo. Or so I thought. It is, however, perfectly acceptable, no, very noble and required to teach the religion of paganism, of which the LGBTQ agenda is part of. This is another example of liberal fascism. Another reason why rural areas want to throw off the shackles of totalitarianism, emanating from the urban areas.

And now we have a new 'whistleblower' who is yelling that the cruise ship refugees were not kept under a proper quarantine protocols when they arrived in California.

When I heard about this I was reminded again: Progressives take features of institutions and subvert them to their tactical advantage by invoking and then redefining the feature, simultaneously cheapening its value and perverting its purpose.

The 'Whistleblower' of the Trumpian age is nothing more than a tattletale. Who doesn't remember that irritating little sh*t from 4th Grade Homeroom, who couldn't wait to inform Teacher of somebody's pranks and misdeeds? Only now, that smarmy fool is tattling about who is looking out the window, or who isn't speaking the recitation, or who is doodling.

I think we lose a lot when we become so civilized that we no longer give people a good smack when they earn one.

Cruise ships are almost all staffed by Indonesians, Taiwanese, and other Asians, who make enough money to enable their families back home to live as comfortably as First Worlders. If the cruise companies are forced to cut back, I would like the affluent white "progressives" to be forced to explain to those families why they no longer have incomes.
