We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
To many people, the increasing participation of females in traditionally male-dominated roles looks like progress. I suppose that some people hope for a day when men and women will be treated exactly the same. Let me tell you: you had better hope that day never arrives. When it does, the human race is finished. This issue is the relationship between authority, and role-expectations. All young men used to be taught that chivalry was a noble ideal; and that women were to be protected and cherished. That led women to strive for beauty, so that they would be worthy of men's respect. But now, we are told that beauty and strength can be combined into one neat package: Wonder Woman. Therefore, there is no reason for women to strive for beauty, because it will appear as a byproduct of strength. Unfortunately, that's not true. So now we have millions of women in America who are strong on the outside; and ugly on the inside. They lack charm, sophistication, and refinement. Instead, they are covered with tattoos, they sign-up for combat duty, and they're mean as a rattlesnake. And they're proud of it. This all happened because our government tries very hard to change the role-expectations of women. And these two female pilots are an example of what's wrong. Men are supposed to be taught when they are young that they're protectors. This leads leads them to take on difficult assignments, which are congruent with their role-expectations. So they become pilots, welders, and mountain climbers. Their reward is the respect and admiration that they receive from young ladies, for their efforts. But women who are strong can't admire those men; they can only admire other women.
If you remember the movie "Flash Dance" the girl was a welder. And then we had "Norma Rae" the Union organizer. And "Erin Brockovich" the Legal Champion. And the "Spice Girls" who don't want you to love them; just "Say you'll be there". These movies and songs, and their role-expectations were not created accidentally; the left is trying to destroy romantic love, and motherhood. And fatherhood, too. All by destroying white men's authority. One of those ways is placing females in jobs that are intended for men. And also by making women Military Officers; and Politicians. So we have to choose: Do we want a communist country, where random sex and drugs are the answer to life? Or do we want to put things back into the correct order; where women try to be beautiful; and men try to be strong? The goal, of course, is for women and men to love each other, and to be happy again.
I don't have a problem with female pilots. The woman who checked me out in the Arrow was of the distaff persuasion and she did really well. She's working for the airlines now. I'd fly with her anytime.
