Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Two websites we are adding to our handy list on the left side of Maggie's (which needs some winnowing when I find the time):

I make frequent use of your blog roll of an evening when I have time free and want some mind-expanding reading. So thank you for keeping it. Even some of the old ones that haven't updated in years are worth revisiting occasionally.

Some of the ones I frequently click only to be reminded that they're effectively dead links:
Megan McArdle's opinion columns have moved from publication to publication, and she has been at the Washington Post for a while. I'm sure there is a writer link there, but it is gated for me to find it. All her stuff there and syndicated can however be found here:

I used to subscribe to Investor's Business Daily just for the editorials. Those guys are the greatest! Thanks for the link.
