My daughter says there's a faction, besides the flat earthers, that don't believe birds exist.
I don't think she's kidding.

So I don't find that article very un-believable.

Birds do NOT exist. They are actually drones programmed by the government to spy on our every move. They get recharged when they sit on power lines, so they are able to operate 24 hours a day if the government wants them to, although they generally put them in sleep mode at night so that people won't hear the mechanical noises they sometimes make. You can find verification of this on the internet.

Don’t leave out Mao, Castro and their super hero Che Guevara. To be fair, I am a product of the education establishment of the late seventies and I did not learn of the full atrocities of the fore mentioned human waste, I had to read about them later in life. By the end of the sixth grade, I did have a clear understanding of the American founding, a great love of country, warts and all. I knew the reasons for the Bill of Rights. The idea of America, the great evil of the world, had not yet fully infected my teachers. I’m grateful for that.

– my impression is that the faction is a mock-conspiracy-theory intended to sell merchandise rather than an actual belief.

Of course that's what I thought about the flat earthers until recently also.

I must disagree with the article about the means of Hitler's taking power. He was not elected which is implied by the term "democrat process". The Nazis never received close to a majority in any free election. Hitler was appointed chancellor by president von Hindenburg in a coalition government. Once the Nazis gained control of the police they ruthlessly destroyed any opposition and upon von Hindenburg's death, Hitler took the powers of that office and became Fuhrer.

I dislike Pelosi and her ilk as much as you do. And I bet you know how Hitler's thugs actually did it. While I don't doubt that Frau Pelosi WANTS to be able to take my guns away and put me into a reeducation camp, she hasn't actually done it.

You could argue, though, that this is the first step in her plan to take power from the legitimately elected president and begin to consolidate it.

We live in interesting times, don't we?

In all fairness to the facts I think that it is Greta's dad and her other scriptwriters who need to get a degree in economics.

Additionally, as a fan of economics, I need to add that there is more than one competing and opposing view of economics. IMHO having a degree in economics makes you suspect. Suspect in what way, you ask? In the same way I distrust anyone with a degree in black studies. women's studies and all the other hate studies programs. There are only two reasons for choosing any of these hate studies programs: 1. you aren't smart enough to actually pass real college level classes. 2. You actually do "hate" and love reinforcing your hate and victimology.

I recall watching him in the early 80s. Even then, they had a severe left bias. People that were on the opposite side of the issues that Lehrer agreed with continually had their interviews edited to either take comments out of context or to make sure inconvenient truths didn't reach the audience. It got so bad many people refused to be interviewed by the News Hour because they had no control over what would be aired.

Even FEWER people know that the real number of Holocaust victims was far higher; 6M Jews, but millions of others as well. "Gypsies" (Roma), homosexuals, communists....
