We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Watching Comey parry the interviewer’s questions during his Redemption Tour is a lesson in the arts of Bureau-speak. He just ‘Gosh, Aw-shucks’ his way clear of the scrum, carefully placing the sacrificial wrong doers – former assistants, all - under the bus all while shaking his head sorrowfully at his ‘mistakes’, all of them misdemeanors: Such a big organization. So difficult to know what’s happening. As Director, can’t be too ‘hands on’.

Too bad about Carter Page and the demolished reputation of an innocent who just happened to be nearby, and at the same time, useful. Why, collateral damage is always just an unfortunate accessory to the pursuit of justice – just ask ol' Bob Mueller about the Whitey Bulger case, later investigated by John Durham, who found that four men were framed, convicted, and then kept from parole in order to protect Whitey Bulger as an FBI informant. The two that were still alive, in 2007, had their sentences vacated and were released from prison by Durham. Anytime someone in Congress sells a button-down type as a ‘Straight Shooter’ it’s time to put on your glasses and take a slow careful look at the goods.

Does the second amendment have no meaning? States and cities are working to cancel it. How quickly national groups will take states to court, and quickly receive injunctions against any perceived threat to court derived rights like abortion, if local legislation even sniffs at restriction. Not so for rights that are in the constitution. This is the results of Our Democracy! Every time a politician mentions, Our Democracy, the meaning is that the mob will run rough shod over the individual. It is precisely why the founders rejected democracy. We must work to keep our constitutional republic. I prefer liberty to slavery. Greta’s handlers want to put me up against the wall.

VA Dems threaten to use national guard against sanctuary counties. LOL. The irony drips off their chin. Please, please use the national guard to bring those sanctuary counties to their knees. Please Dems, do it, just do it!! I am confident that will fix everything. I am sure that once the guard is called out and those Kulaks are put in their place that all will be well. Do it! Please...

Oh by the way, does anyone remember Kent State? Just saying.

RE: The murdered Barnard teen. She was the wrong race to care about. The murderers are the right race and must be given the benefit of the doubt. It is absolutely true that the only reason those poor murderers committed their crime was because of past white supremacy so it is justified. THAT is the new normal, get used to it. Now, back to the polar bear hunt...

What happened to never forget? I believe that at some date in the future the Muslim immigrants will reach sufficient numbers such that they openly prosecute civil war within our borders.

I know! That sounds ridiculous and I must be some kind of nutcase. But Islam is not (really) a religion it is a political philosophy with some trappings of a religion to give it cover. Almost every "moderate" Muslim would agree with and even applaud killing non-Muslims. They may not be willing to do it themselves or even to openly confess their feelings but at heart they are a tribe and their tribe's political philosophy is to enslave or destroy all members of other tribes. They believe this and take a vow to do this. Sooner or later they will do it here and in Germany, France and England too. It's just a matter of time and numbers.

Dalyrymple nails it on teddy bears " A teddy bear, unlike a human being, will never let you down." It will also sit quietly while you binge-watch sports or Netflix or whatever and never bogart the snacks. However, it will not get up to get you another beer.
