The scam of off ashore wind energy is the same scam of solar energy. There are large companies and coordinating activists that make all of this happen. What they are doing is not about creating alternative and sustainable energy but rather about extracting huge sums of money from government and ultimately the tax payers.

Part of the scam is to hide the facts. To put it simply a PV solar generation facility will never generate as much energy is it took to manufacture, transport, build and maintain the facility. But, much like the ethanol in gasoline scam, who cares as long as the checks keep coming. To hide this obvious problem all commercial solar generation facilities are heavily subsidized up front. That is before anything is built the company that is going to build get about 50% of the total cost in cash before they even begin. Then during and after construction they get additional cash subsidies from state and federal government. Then once the facility begins producing electricity they get a non-cash subsidy in that the electric utility is mandated to buy the electricity and blend it in with their other sources. Of course the utility gets to raise the rates on all the consumers and that is where the rest of the subsidy comes from. It is all a scam but done so well that no one wants to stop it.

I took Mexico off my list of places to visit years ago. It is unsafe. But worse the traffic in both directions at the border is unsafe. That "unsafety" reaches into every state and almost every city in the U.S. It is time to close the border perhaps for good. They can hand the avocados, Dos Equis and tequila through a chain link fence at guarded locations but otherwise build the wall with no more roads and pass throughs. No immigration, no visas and absolutely no illegal border crossing.
