We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
This was one of my all-time favourites when I was a kid. The genius that came out of Termite Terrace (Warner) and Fleischer has no equal. Sure, the technology is more sophisticated these days, but what we get for it tends to be quite shallow and overproduced. Another classic in the same vein as Skeleton Dance is the first Grampy cartoon, a virtuoso performance not only in animation, but in sideways thinking as well. They even took the trouble to carefully animate the ensemble doing the Buck-and-Wing! The whole thing is a mad as a box of frogs.
