We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The evolving Gen. Flynn story

Has The Intrepid Sidney Powell Tapped Into A Deep State Source?


Why did the FBI etc take all the trouble to entrap, or whatever, the patriot Flynn, and destroy his life?  That's my question. Gen. Flynn has been a better American than any of those dirty SOBs who wanted a scalp, any scalp connected to Trump.


If Powell is doing this work pro bono, God bless her. I believe Flynn had to sell his house to cover legal defence over a year ago. The General is broke.

I think there's a very good chance that you've partly answered your own question in the second sentence following it. The rest of the answer is that they wanted to explore any avenue that could damage Trump, and Flynn was low-hanging fruit on the tree of illegal surveilling.

Before he joined the Trump administration Flynn openly said he wanted clean the intel community's house on illegal/dark off budget operations. so they decided to take him down. (This is according to Powell on the Mark Levin 10/25/19 show - but the podcast is not yet up.)

Be warned in advance as this match goes to the mat: Flynn is no angel or hero himself, and everything self-serving he has done will come to the fore. That is why he was considered low-hanging fruit and an easy target. Nonetheless, it is increasingly clear he was wrongfully accused or even framed, and rules of evidence and investigation apply, especially when political opponents are involved.
