I can't even stay in the same room with people who make excuses for being overweight because they have stress and they have a metabolism. No matter what your metabolism is doing, there's a calorie intake that will cause weight loss. Three and a half billion years of life on this planet make that statement inarguable.

Sure, there are complex psychological factors that make it easy or hard to eat the right amount of food for your actual needs; all issues of self-control and avoiding inappropriate comfort mechanisms and long-term thinking are complex, or we wouldn't have addiction of any kind. Rule number one is, don't blame it on some external force, particularly not the presidency, for Heaven's sake.

More money for “homeless” people isn’t intended to benefit those individuals any more than more money for education is intended to benefit kids. The taxpayers’ money always goes to connected adults as payoff for helping to elect the elected. The kids move on, and the homeless die off, but the bureaucracy lives forever.

And the unions, and the specialized schools that provide the workers' credentials. It about the jobs, and the votes. Between a cushy job for himself/family/friends and some kind of abstract concern about a child's intellectual development, which do you think most voters are going to plump for?

Immigrant medical costs should be billed to their home country. Every illegal in our country is still a full fledged citizen of their country. The DACA children can and do vote in Mexico when they reach voting age AND some of them vote here as well. They are citizens of another country here simply because it is politically expedient to not fix our broken borders and immigration laws. This is all a globalist elite scam to replace American citizens at the ballot box. The looting of America continues.

Mental Health treatment in Trieste: We can learn a great deal from them and I hope we imitate as much of this as we can. But it's not going to be a lot. The system is founded on integrating them into their families and neighborhoods. In America, people move around, and there may not be a lot of that for the patient. We call them "natural supports" and always look for them where I work. How many in that photo do you think have a neighborhood who still recognises them or a family nearby?

Also, the laws about privacy, right to refuse treatment, and choice of lifestyle are not small things in America. There's a lot of unintended consequence removing them. I say this was one who does think they are often ridiculous.

There is also genetics, and numbers of patients.

The left is desperate to take back power. They don't want power to make America great again. Their plan is to make America manageable, i.e. easier for them to manage. That is why we have illegal immigration and massive welfare. That is why they want gun control and thought control (the ever widening definition of hate speech) and socialist policies. Most politicians use their office to gain power and wealth. There are very few "honest" politicians including Republicans. But the left is far worse and wants to "Make America Venezuela". They were well on their way when the "Manchurian Candidate" got elected but then came Trump. Now clearly the left hates Trump because he stands between them and their dreams of a socialist gulag state. But many on the right are never Trumpers because he diminished their power too and they don't like being pushed away from the public trough. Trump is in trouble and Trump is the only politician who stands for the American citizens. He needs our help and support.

Make no mistake, the 2020 election will be the most dishonest in history, and that's saying something. The left will likely get one of their lacky's elected president and may well get the Senate too. Who will have our back then?

That is true for some. For others, I think it is more degraded than that. They want to have jobs and status, and they want people in power to make that happen. Being able to have their values enforced and tell other people what to do is just a bonus. They want to have nice things and you not have them, nothing more.

They don't present it to themselves that way, nor to others. Who would? Who would admit they are that primitive? They have loops and loops of evasions and rationalisations that their desires arre for higher things and for the good of society. But look at what deals they accept to go forward.

Bison, glad they are back. Why all the negative intro? Here in Pa., everything was gone, maybe 2 or 3 deer still hiding somewhere. Now they are back, boy are they back. My daughter hit one last week. Bears, turkeys, Elk, coyotes, foxes, you name it. Used to live in Fla., surveyed in high school, never saw a gator. now they are on all the golf courses. Too much success on that one. Wish the narrative creators could be a little more honest, but then we wouldn't have a CRISIS!!!!!

Around here, if you want to keep chickens or grow vegetables, you have to armor them: an 8-foot fence to discourage deer, and serious metal cages to keep the raccoons off the chickens. If we actually depended on these activities to get enough calories, we'd be living much like our ancestors, for whom varmit control was deadly serious. We live here because we like the wildlife. You have to figure out whether you're willing to accept the drawbacks, otherwise you'll always be creating an environment in which all non-human life is being progressively exterminated.

The left is promising Medicare for all. But it isn't going to be Medicare it is going to be socialized medicine.

Medicare requires that to be eligible that you contribute (taxed) for about 45 years. Every month without any choice the federal government takes Medicare "taxes" out of your pay. When you turn 65 YO you apply for Medicare and the government begins taking a premium payment from your SS check, you have no choice. When you get sick and go see your doctor Medicare pays 80% (of whatever they deem the correct charge for that service is) and YOU pay 20%. Do you believe for a second that what the lefty politicians are calling Medicare for all will include 45 years of payment before you are eligible AND a mandatory premium payment every month AND 20% co-pay???

Also since the math doesn't add up, i.e. there isn't enough money to pay for Medicare for all what they aren't telling you is that the middle class won't get Medicare for all. AND that the middle class will pay for it. It will be Medicare for illegal aliens paid for by the middle class.

I'm sorry but, if James LeBron, an overpaid kid who plays sports ball, is the Left's iconic "go-to guy" for foreign affairs commentary, then it's lights-out for the Democrats' urban machine.

Folks need to aim higher than just putting a ball in a hoop all their life.

Saul, one of the Dem's silent desires is, put the US on the hook for CALPERS pension deficit. They can't say it out loud, but all those California retirees flocking to Arizona, Florida and Colorado refuse to properly target their ire at their union and fund managers. Instead they aim it at Trump and his supporters in flyover country.

If you want to understand Nancy Pelosi's Impeachment Chique, you need to grok the Dem's hidden agenda. And it ain't about holding the responsible parties to account. Imagine if targets were painted on the backs of the SEIU organizers and Gavin Newsome's treasury officials, instead of people wearing MAGA hats, and you'll see through the Democrats' Theater of the Absurd!

The Democrats know their base. There are plenty of people, not all of them black, who feel personally insulted when LeBron James is criticized when speaking up, as if all black people or basketball fans are being called stupid. The Dems need to reassure everyone they are not disagreeing with James. For their white fans, they lean more to showing they are on the side of Kerr and Popovich, but it's the same principle.

I was pleased to see I could order the Jordan Peterson movie on iTunes, or at least pre-order it and wait until probably Oct. 29 to see it, in a streaming version. It would never have run in my tiny town anyway, controversy or no controversy. This way, I can watch it and support the filmmakers financially, a win-win.

Censorship has got to be fought relentlessly.
