We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
As scary mean as he can look in the movies, Trejo has always impressed me as a good person. I guess it's his persona in Spy Kids, tough looking on the outside, but a softie on the inside.
That's pop psychology bull crap. Helping other people is a wonderful thing but if our happiness depending on doing so we all be in trouble. hes not a hero because he pulled a kid out of a car unless you think no one else would have done it if he hadn't. As a matter of fact it was a woman who got the kid out of the car seat. Anybody know her name?
