We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
In Movie One, President Trump is absolutely, definitely a racist, and any honest person can see it in the way he talks, the people who support him, and his policy proposals. For the viewers of this movie, Trump’s alleged racism is a fact, not an opinion. Therefore, logically, all Trump supporters must be racists because they support a racist president. This view of reality is promoted by CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, NPR, and essentially all of the left-leaning press.
In Movie Two, President Trump promised the country he would not be politically correct if elected, and sure enough, he is not. He goes hard at all critics, with uncautious language, and that makes it easy for his political foes to cherry pick the times he criticizes women and people of color, framing those instances as some sort of pattern. Viewers of Movie Two are confused about whether the viewers of Movie One are lying, stupid, brainwashed, or mentally ill.
Those two realities are starkly different. How can any of us tell which is the true one?

Well, it's really pretty easy, as long as you have an IQ above room temperature.

That was my reaction: "Hmm, I'm not really experiencing any difficulty." But Adams also dithers over how to tell whether most climate "science" is balderdash, as if the very idea of intellectual standards were a mystery.
The irony is that Obama was indeed a racist and the left and the MSM would not let you say it. They covered for him not reporting things he said and did and denied knowing these things when asked. Even today if you were to talk about something Obama did that was overtly racist you would be kicked off TV or twitter or whatever social media you were using. On the other hand Trump is clearly not a racist and the left and the MSM are pushing the meme that he is a racist and if you point out their lies and duplicity you will be kicked off TV, twitter or whatever social media you are on.
A good exercise is to try to explain your position to a theoretical man from Mars who doesn't have the cultural context and must be persuaded entirely by demonstrable fact and logical arguments.
Though i disapprove of dueling with unarmed men.

It is really easy to tell: look at what trump does. The claim that anyone against open borders is racist (ie trump) is simply crazy. In order to have a country you need borders. Go to any african or middle eastern country and try to get a job without a visa. This is the sole excuse by which they attempt to hang him: that he wants a wall. Open borders would lead to millions coming in every year until the US was like China.
