Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

MC: Are Any Of The Democratic Candidates For President Not Completely Crazy?


They are not crazy, MC, in my view. Just trying to turn on their base, the primary voters. That what pols do. Boob bait.


It's all calculated, a game. All parties do it. Figger this: 50% of voting age have below average IQs, and they are reading neither Maggie's nor MC.

Marianne Williamson is so completely crazy that she has come out the other side and is saying things that a lot of people agree with.

I'd keep my eye on that one, the reaction from the party machine and media (but I repeat myself, as Chris Plante has said) reminds me of Trump in 2015.

Fear not, peacelovewoodstock. Williamson is just a "Course in Miracles" hack spewing out the latest New Age crap. Only place she's going, is back to the guest couch of that other great mystic and Spiritual Light of The World, Oprah.

Except those that vote for members of the congressional black caucus. Those are certainly genius, and you're a racist if you believe otherwise.

Of course I get the joke about the 50%. But there really is a point in this that is relevant. The 50% who are below average IQ contain a huge demographic of people who may be below 80 IQ. Even in a democracy it does not make sense that someone that dumb casts a vote. I know it will never happen but seriously if you cannot take care of yourself (and that includes having and keeping a job) than you should not be allowed to vote. The voter rolls and welfare rolls should be cross matched and the voter rolls purged of any matches.
