Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

She is 100% anti-2nd amendment. She favors open borders. She is actively supporting Medicare for all. She wants amnesty for all here illegally. Here position on most issues is to the left of Lenin and Marx and makes Putin look like a conservative. She is a far left radical who favors policies that will destroy our constitutional republic. That ain't cool.
She, her parents and her husband, Abraham Williams, are also members of, and grew up in, a whacked out offshoot of Hare Krishna called “Science of Identity” in Kailua, Hawaii.
Following their guru, Chris Butler, a doctors son from Kailua, whom they call Jaga Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahansa. Her Chief of Staff in D.C., Kaiona Ramamnanda Penaroza, alsoa follower of Chris Butler. Since every other word out of her mouth the other night was “I’m a major in the Hawaii National Guard” (in a medical company in Iraq and a tour in Kuwait) maybe someone might be curious about the rest of her Hawaiian background. TG has mostly bad policy prescriptions. She is very far left. Having said that, I think she is earnest and honest. She volunteered for the military and served honorably for two tours. I think she is wrong on almost every issue, but I do believe she loves her country. She is not a rank opportunist, a poser, or a grifter like Sanders, Harris, Warren, Gillibrand, Booker and the rest of the Dim clowns running for POTUS. I would never vote for her, but I do respect her.
So President Trump is a war monger now? Okay.... That article was long on fluff and short on substance.
I do find it pretty telling that Kamala Harris DA record has been wiped clean. She does appear to be the chosen candidate. Much like Obama. When I type ‘Kam’ Kamala comes right up on my iPhone. But I have to spell out Trump. I type ‘President’ and Obama comes up. I must type President Trump completely. We are being led in the Left way, by big tech. They are Evil. The linked article was correct about one thing, if you thumb your nose at Empire, if you are a Liberty minded, free thinker, they are out to get you. It takes longer than you'd think for autocomplete to catch up. I was always pleased how long it took for it to recognise "Obama."
They have ways of influencing us, but I'm not sure that's one of them. I hear what you are saying, BUT, it completes Kamala, which today is the first time I have ever typed her name, verse Trump (I had to type the whole name) who I type quite regularly. Mmmmm. Not to mention that Kamala has been in the limelight for a very short period of time verse Trump who has been a celebrity, a name in the mainstream, for years.
I would expect autocomplete to learn from words and typing habits from the user. For instance: my girlfriend and me refer to our doggies as bubbies. Autocomplete cought on rather quickly to bubbies, why not Trump? I’m sure I am reading to much into this sort of thing, but the more you learn about how google operates, the more questions I have. I trust Apple more with my personal information, but not by much. Both companies are very left leaning. I don't usually use Chrome nor Google search as I value my privacy and want to avoid lefty bias and supporting them. (I use Epic or Firefox and Startpage.) So I tried this. Kam & Tru both bring up Harris and Trump. "Presi" brings up four generic first suggestions and President Trump as the fifth hit. I do deliberately use Google/chrome when I wan to skew their narrative and search on things which they do not want published.
Here in NH. there are big signs for Tulsi. Her people are behind her in a big way. I don't know if that will transfer into votes a half a year from now, but at the moment you'd think she was the only one running.
I live in NH and drive through a fair amount of the southern half of the state.
If by big you mean the size of the signs, I agree. If you mean quantity, the half dozen I’ve seen in the last 4 months or so isn’t considered big by any standard. Yes, size. Manchester, Concord and their western suburbs. I've seen a dozen, compared to about zero for each of the others.
I've always thought that being good looking when you're running for office gets you more than halfway to a voter commitment, and a much more indulgent and open-minded audience. Tulsi Gabbard has this quality, so did Obama, so does Omar.
I agree with your overall point, though not necessarily with all your examples. I don't see Omar or Obama as attractive at all (your mileage may vary). Gabbard is good looking in a way that men find attractive but women do not find off putting. Krysten Sinema is the same. She's got a 1000 watt smile to boot. I think the reason she beat McSally is that she was better looking and way more feminine in appearance. Elise Stefanik is a good example on the Republican side. She's got girl next door good looks. Men would want to date her and women would want to be friends with her.
Whatever she may think, she hasn't a prayer of being on the ticket. And more important, I don't trust the Left, to which she belongs with that (D) after her name.
The Left — none of them — cannot be trusted with national power for at least a generation to come. The new thing is that she's a Putin's Puppet.
Insanity. I'm not sure about all the Deep State conspiracy talk but I do have to wonder about our Middle East policy, what exactly it is we're doing and trying to do in Syria. Assad may be a brutal dictator but he's a Westernized, secular brutal dictator and the groups trying to get rid of him have their own anti-Western, Muslim fundamentalist brutal dictator they'd like to replace him with.
Propping up the Shah of Iran may have been some dirty business, but is Iran (and the world) better off with the Ayatollahs running the show? Is Iraq better off with Saddam - another Westernized secular brutal dictator - gone? Libya with Khadafy - ditto - gone? If I didn't know better, it's almost as if the US is fighting to create more radical Muslim theocracies in the Middle East. And now comes Gabbard suggesting that maybe we shouldn't be fighting Assad and she's getting slammed for the idea as if this is the most traitorous of treachery, to question our foreign policy in the Middle East. It does make me wonder what's going on. With the Mohammedans, one can only rule them brutally. Either via a brutal secular dictator or one can offer 'democracy', with which they will immediately choose an undemocratic Islamist theocracy, which will be even more brutally.
US policies are serving only to remove the Christians from the Middle East. I'm beginning to suspect that this is the primary aim of the warmongers. Somehow we've got to get past the idea that all veterans are somehow heroes or suddenly endowed with all knowledge of foreign or domestic affairs. So what if Tulsi is in the National Guard - and of all things the Hawaii NG. I'm still waiting to see the write up for that Combat Medical Badge. You must know that many of these national guard officers get their commission after going to these offshoot two year schools and could never receive a regular commission. The NG is a problem, especially when they actually get hit in combat. Did you know that there are Green Beret officers in the national guard, and only in the national guard, who have never gone through the Q course? She's semi attractive and speaks well, that's all. She has some stream for the media machine.
After 8 years of The Zero knocking the U.S. for every attribute that presently attracts people from all over the world, after 8 years of him traveling the world to apologize for U.S. "whiteness" and after 8 years of him weaponizing the government against our citizens in an effort to turn the U.S. into a global economy under the rule of the U.N., the World Bank, the IMF and laws manufactured by third-world dictators, no thanks to globalist Tulsi, any of the Democrat line-up or any RINOs/NeoCons.
Thank you very much, we are still trying to make America's Main Street great again to insure the futures of our children and grandchildren. We are the most generous nation on this globe, but that does not mean we should allow access to anyone intent on destroying our culture, debasing the attributes that make the U.S. exceptional, stepping into jobs created generations before they came to our shores, and co-opting the hard-earned benefits of those who fought and worked to earn them for their own retirement. Besides, one has to be eligible. Our Founders had reasons to be concerned. www.thepostemail(dot)com/2019/07/10/the-tulsi-gabbard-house-eligibility-question/ |
