My life had been mercifully free of Rob Reiner for the last few years and I had forgotten about him. Thanks a bunch, BD. I didn't click through, but could already feel my blood pressure rising.

Women's soccer makes about 1/1000 of what men's soccer makes. This tends to be true of women's sports in general. I don't know why but I suspect it is about overall ability. That is while watching a women's basketball game I nearly fell asleep because it is so slow and so unexciting. It didn't help that some on the women's soccer team took a very public and vocal anti-American political position. What they are asking for is a gift, free stuff, special treatment for women athletes. They don't want to earn it they want it simply because they are a female.

But their entitled to it because of patriarchal hegemonic oppression. You're just wanting to keep them from getting what they deserve because of the millenia of hard times their gender/sex/whatever as a whole has been subjected to. (Don't say anything about the fact that they're all getting paid to play a game).

In 2018 16 billion federal dollars was sent to Baltimore. The money was intended to make the city safer and to help the poor residents who live there. But there is no success, no results to trumpet, in fact things have gotten worse. where did the money go??? We could ask Rep Cummings but he is in Italy with other Democrats staying in 5 star hotels, eating in 5 star restaurants and spending our money on entertainment. I think we need to investigate Baltimore. Create a team of forensic accountants and prosecutors and turn them lose on Baltimore. If you really want to see the rats in Baltimore investigate what happened to that federal money. I am betting Cummings is into the corruption up to his bald head.

While Bill Ayers claimed that Chavista Venezuela was a victim of a "barrage of lies spread by the U.S. State Department and the corrupted Northamerican media, it would appear this is a case of projection, as Chavista Venezuela was and is quite capable of lying.

For example, the Chavista government claimed that through its Mission Robinson's work on literacy, that UNESCO had declared Venezuela an "illiteracy free terrotory." Turned out- surprise of surprises- this was an outright lie..UNESCO denies Venezuela literacy claim.

You didn't need to wait for the 2014 fall in the price of oil to realize that Chavismo's accomplishments were basically smoke and mirrors. That was apparent even back in 2006. While Chavismo was quite adept at acquiring and maintaining power, about the only thing that Chavismo accomplished with that power was to perpetuate itself in power.

For a more detailed look at Mission Robinson, which Bill Ayers claimed was in effect the greatest thing since sliced bread, here is Freed from Illiteracy? A Closer Look at Venezuela's Robinson Literacy Campaign. Basically, the improvements in literacy in Chavista Venezuela were the consequences of elderly illiterates dying off combined with high rates of literacy among younger segments of the population. And Bill Ayers wanted to inform us this constituted "astonishing strides in a brief period." As they say in Venezuela, tell me another cowboy tale. [fish story here in the US.]

Thank you for this. This is what actual journalists are supposed to be doing to keep the American public informed. Very simple : Who, what, when, where, why? Not easy, but simple.

This is why our educated classes are in fact the least knowledgeable. What they know isn't true, and it takes time and character to unlearn it. Mere ignorance does not have that problem.

"A federal judge in California ruled last week that banning semi-automatic rifles is not a violation of the right to bear arms as afforded by the Second Amendment."

How is that possible? Of course I understand how it is possible for anyone to put their agenda first before their duties. But what I'm asking is how is it possible for a judge, learned in the law and the constitution and who has taken an oath to uphold both, to make such a ruling. I would be embarrassed and ashamed to be a lawyer or judge and rule that the 2nd amendment does not mean what it says. The judge should be impeached.
