Of course the kids love socialism. Who doesn't love Santa Claus? Reminds me of when I was a kid going to the grocery store with my mom and wondering why she was picking up bread and milk and eggs and meat and fruits and vegetables when there was a whole candy aisle RIGHT THERE! I vowed when I was a grown-up and had my own money, I'd buy a whole shopping cart full of nothing but candy. Needless to say, by the time I was a grown-up with my own money I no longer had any urge to gorge myself on candy, I had come to appreciate nutrition. The kids who love socialism still haven't outgrown the urge for candy, especially when it's free candy.

Re stoned lobster. That is really going to ruin my dining experience. When I go to Red Lobster I ask to be seated by the kitchen so I can listen to the lobster scream as they are being boiled.

The Democratic party and it's "organizers" have a series of well organized actions they have taken in almost every state to corrupt the ballot process. When is the Republican party going to become organized in training their supporters or just good people who believe in clean elections? In every county and every city of America we need a well trained, well organized group of people willing to step into the polls, to supervise the vote and then the count in order to protect this country--this time it is ESSENTIAL that the Republicans get organized and train thousands to work in a well organized and well informed manner to oversee the election. If not, might as well save everyone's money--because the fix is in--in many cities, towns, and states.

Jeez, sedating a lobster with dope? Too expensive. The easy and simple way: place lobster in a pan full of the cheapest white wine you could possibly find. Box wine is great. The lobster sloshes around in the booze for a while and relaxes completely, and then goes in the pot with no struggle at all. If you listen closely, you can hear it go "Whee!" at the end.

KAMALA HARRIS WILL BE THE 2020 DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE.

While I can't claim to be as smart as Newt I'm not sure that he's right about this. She looks formidable on paper but doesn't appear to be progressing like you'd expect. It's not that she has any huge negatives but I'm wondering if there's as much positive there.

There's nothing particularly fresh about her ethnicity or gender. We've done the non-white President. The Dems have nominated, and then failed to elect, a female candidate. The problem for Harris is that she's completely plausible candidate.

She's getting a history of stepping on her own good press. She had the good debate moment going after Biden and then wound up walking back support for busing. She's done this now with several issues (IIRC, eliminating private insurance was another).

I think Newt's right that the race is really between Harris and Warren but right now I think I'd give the edge to Warren. The negatives that he puts forward for Warren are unlikely to bother the Democrat primary voters, and I don't see how they could be successfully raised in a woke primary (unlike the general election where Trump would continue to pound on the Pocahontas theme). Harris is certainly not going to call attention to ethnic claims when she's been trading on a 'black' identity that doesn't match her actual background.

If both of them stumble I think there's still an outside chance for Biden but I expect him to fade to third over the next few months.

Newt has always been a good political commentator.

Dan McLaughlin (aka Baseball Crank) came to the same conclusion a couple of months ago. He thinks Harris will win the nom because she is far left and she checks off the most identity politics/victim boxes of any of the candidates.

If blacks turn out for her like they did 0bama, I think she gets the nomination.

Harris in NOT a natural born citizen He parents were in the U.S. on student visas and not naturalized at the time of her birth. Have we not yet learned after that disaster with The Zero, who bobbed to every foreign leader and and sold our very souls to the Devil for who knows how much? Our founders knew the danger of having a Commander in Chief lacking complete loyalty to our country.

Drudge has a link up saying that Comey's daughter is prosecuting this case.

If that is true, I can only speculate that the entire mission of the prosecution is to get Trump, while protecting influential dems from legal harm.

Here in Canada we've somehow managed to end up with a prime minister and federal government who consider us all to be genocidal maniacs (with regard to indigenous peoples) and polluting monsters (i.e., with regard to "climate change").
