We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

What she learned is there is a neo-KKK in town. The people who hated here for the color of their skin are racists pure and simple. There is a race baiting hustle that uses race for fun and profit but there is so much more to this because these people are rabid racists who don't like you and with very little encouragement would harm or kill you.

And I am not even going to start on the Dem controlled city and state governments.

Perhaps the author should cite some moderate behavior from Democrats?

The problem with the Democrat party is that it has been hijacked by socialist and communist. This is not an exaggeration it is a provable fact. Almost all of the far left agenda's are designed to and intended to destroy America and create enough social unrest that we would accept and embrace the leftists ideology. The free press have abdicated their role in keeping the citizens informed. The two party system has abdicated their role of being the loyal opposition to the extremes of the opposing party. And most troubling is that our courts have been packed with far left ideologues with the intent of assisting the radical left agenda. I am not sure we (our constitutional Republic) can survive this assault.

Thanks for the link to that USA Today column. It said that Trump did not talk about many of his favorite themes: himself, the 2020 election, fake news. Could it be?

I had not watched or read Trump’s speech, but I found that USA Today column so interesting (and surprising) that I looked up and read Trump’s speech just now – click here. Yes, it's true, Trump didn't talk about any of those things. He reminded us of our heritage and talked about our heroes. It’s a good speech!

Her plea for conservatives not to abandon such worthless schools is more of the sad brainwashing so many have about their college.

It's a liberal arts college, the most of the students and professors are hostile to the Western canon and objective reality. They do not foster open discussion or entertain ideas that challenge their world view. It's not like the courses have objective value like Physics or Calculus. If you can't openly discuss ideas, the college is nothing but a waste of money and time for the student.

Kamala Harris is a fake American. She doesn't love America she loves power. Give her power and she will destroy America. She doesn't have any good ideas. She doesn't have enough experience or intelligence to run the country. If she is the Democrat candidate we are in deep trouble. Make no mistake the Democrats will steal the election. They stumbled in 2016, they thought it was in the bag and they didn't push for the finish. They won't make that mistake again. Her election slogan will be: "Bring Back Forced Bussing".
