Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

That Christian from Mali is just the kind of immigrant that any society would be blessed to receive. Unfortunately, he is most untypical. And he wasn't intending to emigrate, anyway-he is just a seeker of truth. He might even be a potential saint.

The so-called smugglers today follow the same routine that early African slave traders did when Europeans became buyers. And more or less the same as they do today, albeit not to European buyers. And there is no outrage from the totalitarian left about it -indeed the totalitarian left encourages the whole business in order to further disruption. No one thinks it’s odd that Africans are coming through our southern border- seeking asylum in the US that they have to use an airplane to seek. The impact of his journey maybe small in the immediate future but surely staying will help his community survive....

The smugglers are slave traders. If the Progressives and news people used true words, there would be a greater impact.
