We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Went up to the mountains a week ago last tuesday to get some hiking in. First time I'd gone to that particular place, and the earliest I'd gone up to go hiking since we moved to Colorado.
Got my truck stuck in a snowbank. No, not offroad. Across the road. I thought it was a small hill (because of the non-snow covered dirt on either size) with a little snow cover (18 inches or so). Turns out it was NOT a hill and had about 4-5 feet of snow.
Had to walk out 7 miles to find someone to pull me backwards 3 feet.
They're pushing harder because they know reality is failing their narrative. Reality isn't matching up to computer models. So the push is to get irrevocable political changes started before the marks wise up and the con is blown.
In your description, you claim that you ask only to be left alone? C'mon now! Don't you pray for rain?
The Chicken Littles of global disaster are performing in Short Attention Span Theater. They rely on never being called out on their earlier inaccurate predictions. And it seems to be working in the pop culture and MSM. We're doomed, not by climate disaster but by Idiocracy.
