We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Allowing transgender males to compete as women will have effect largely at the elite levels of sport. In most school districts and most colleges, the presence of a male among the competitors will be unusual and temporary. Women's sports will go on much as before, with two exceptions - there will be a quiet understanding about those years that deserving all-female teams did not win because some other team had males, which people will refer to in code. "That was the year that Memorial had Alex..." Secondly, at state or league championship level the change will be more noticeable. The rest of league play will be largely unaffected.
Girls will learn that life isn't fair.

Girls learning that life isn't fair? At last, equality.
Sorry, AVI, three are some sports where it is dangerous for fake women to compete against other women and it seems from what I've seen while surfing that a fair amount happens in high school or college.
My hope (and maybe, given the ability of people to think critically, it will remain a hope) is that women will finally figure out that, yes, fake women are really men and have no business competing against them in sports where strength is a factor.
In the mean time, I wonder what reaction the real women will have to a fake woman in the locker room getting a woody. Since some women have penises would some have stiffies, too?
