We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I'm having to use my nephew's computer to post this comment/question/complaint/bug report.
He uses Chrome on his computer, which I refuse to use on my computer what with the Googly evil and all, but attempting to access this site via IE or Firefox leads to a re-direct. The url that pops up in the address bar says "spread.ly", (.ly being the country domain for Libya) but the actual webpage is a Uniregistration page advising me that the domain name "spread.ly" is available for sale if I might be interested in purchasing it.
Now this isn't a re-direct virus on my computer, Maggie's Farm is the only site this happens on - and the thing is, I can start up IE on my nephew's computer and I get the same re-direct. He doesn't have Firefox on his computer, but I suspect the same thing would happen.
Anybody got any suggestions on what the problem might be here and how to fix it? I tried the usual ceremonial Cleansing of the Caches and the more general sacramental Turning It Off And Then Turning It Back On Again, but my prayers and offerings were in vain.
Blazing Saddles is one of my favorite comedies. There are so many classic lines that my friends and family use all the time. NO WAY could this movie be made today in this lamblasted P.C. atmosphere today.
