We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Re EMP scaremongering: I have stocked up on large amounts of grains of salt to take when I read pieces on this topic. Those folks writing them are selling something and the more you know, the less you need to buy.
But don't take my word for it - learn some science.

Clapper actually admitted live on CNN that there was I-wish-you-wouldn't-call-it-spying-but-that's-what-it-is. Now it turns out there's lots of spying, spying is completely OK, what's the big deal. Also, a month or so he casually explained that of course the Obama administration called for it, why wouldn't they? We spy all the time in aid of counter-terrorism efforts, so why all the fuss over spying on a political opponent?'

As Bongino reports, a lot of people now are scrambling to figure out whether the story needs to be that a Russian agent had infiltrated friendly intelligence organizations at a high level, or our own intelligence community was joined at the hip with friendly intelligence organizations to entrap their political opponents. And Mueller's expensive report carefully averts its eyes from all these inconvenient details. I can't wait to see the man testify.
