We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

What it means for James Clapper to begin to come clean

I've got friends who are convinced that Trump is evil incarnate, and just waiting to sell our country to Putin.

I point out what he's done in the ME against Putin-backed forces. I point out that he's trying hard to sell LNG to Europe to get them off the Russian supply sources.
I point out how there's been no evidence at all of Collusion, and if he was bought by Putin, he's not staying bought.

It doesn't matter. There seems to be no way to get past their ideological blinders, and they just handwave away anything to the contrary.

What sort of mental aberration do you have to have to get to a point where you'd RATHER believe Trump's a russian agent than accept he isn't?

They blindly believe anything their controllers tell them, and automatically discredit anything that contradicts that position as false, again blindly.

There is no getting through to them because in their mind, anything that you say that contradicts their controllers' stories is proof that you're in on the conspiracy, are one of the bad guys.

It is important for our country, our citizens and our government that this be fully investigated and exposed. What really happened is being under reported but this is the biggest crime against our Republic in our history. The perpetrators of this hoax/treason should be punished. The truth should be told. This should never happen again. I would have been a supporter of the FISA court if I had been asked a few years ago. I no longer support it. We need more sunshine not less. This goes way beyond left and right, Democrat and Republican. The people are the core of this travesty tried to bring down a dully elected president and they should be punished. let the chips fall where they may.

We'll probably never get complete justice for this travesty, but I take great satisfaction knowing that a whole lot of these people are sweating bullets wondering who's going to sell out the others, and who's going to get thrown under the bus. Some of them will, and I will enjoy the schadenfreude.

This, and knowing that Hillary will likely be not much more than a footnote in future history texts as the first female Presidential candidate from a major party, and the Obama 'legacy' will largely be one of Imperial Presidency overreach that was countermanded as soon as he left office.
