Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Brennan, Comey, Hillary, Obama, the FISA Court judges, the U. S. Attorneys that proffered this malicious crap to them, and everyone else involved in this attempt to take down a duly elected president, need to pay the price for this.
Makes Watergate look like a parking ticket. If not, this country is done. You are absolutely correct--we must make sure that employees in those agencies learn an important lesson. If we do not pursue legal action against these self serving animals our democracy will continue to weaken from within.
It requires more than learning a lesson...the administrative state needs to be radically downsized and then term limited so that they experience a taste of the world they have supported and regulated to death.
That is a great idea. Send the deep state employees out in to the real world. EPA employees need to go work in the energy generation industry or agriculture. Send OSHA into manufacturing. No top dog positions allowed. Make them work in the trenches. Brilliant, indyjonesouthere!
We need to downsize Big Government. Start with the Department of Education. Seriously?
Are you going to hire one of these people? To do what, exactly? Don't get me wrong, I think downsizing these agencies is a great idea. I just don't harbor any illusions about the employability of their displaced workers.

"New Zealand Women Wear Hijabs"
There is something about women in politics. Maybe it is simply that most normal women choose not to go into politics and that those women who do choose to enter politics are mostly radicals. But for some reason the most prominent examples of this are disasters and destroying their country. A stellar example of this is Frau Merkel of Germany. She welcomed in the army of Muslim invaders into her country and when the inevitable attacks and rapes began she forced the media and polizi to cover it up. Then there is the cabal of Swedish lawmakers mostly women but some effeminate men pretty much did the same thing that Merkel did but with a much smaller population. They got similar results and used similar tactics to hide these disastrous results of their suicidal political choices. Now we are seeing New Zealand repeat this terribly stupid agenda. For each of these countries it is going to end badly. It all could have been avoided but it seems that their leaders are hellbent to commit suicide by stupidity. In all fairness there are other countries doing the same thing including our own. What you are missing is this: it takes personal courage not to just make yourself look kind, and loving, but also to stand alone even when the public will judge you unfairly. That kind of personal courage is destroyed by moving "up the political ranks".
I took the quiz and only missed one out of the 20. If people can only get 10 or less, OMG! Of course, this quiz was in The Daily Mail......
I took the quiz, too. Question 3 shocked me! But I did make $7300 last month just working a few hours per week from home, so I got that going for me.
It's Clickbait, of course, you did well. I imagine everyone scores more than 10/20. The whole point is to make you feel smart. At least 1/3 of it is spelling, not grammar at all.
Man, am I ever tired of hearing people complain about how unfair and/or unreliable the SAT is.
Not disagreeing, but...
Many years ago I worked in a cutting edge hi tech job and this was years before most people even knew what a computer was. The computers would have problems and it seemed most around 2:30 am. One day my fellow worker and room mate got that call around 2:30 am and the phone call from my end was something like this; Why do I have to come in to fix it when you have the senior guy right there... Yes sir, yes sir, I'll be right there. My room mate was crappy at taking tests. So he didn't get the promotions and money. The other guy was a bit of a slacker and couldn't fix the problems. But he was good at tests and got the promotions. My room mate was the go to guy, could fix anything, but could not take a test and pass it. If your life depended on it which of the two would you prefer was called in to fix the problem??? It's one thing to say that intelligence isn't the be-all and end-all of life, and another to argue either that it's irrelevant or that the SAT doesn't accurately measure it.
Don't misunderstand. I think that SAT accurately identifies most smart people (and of course identifies the not so smart too). But I think the SAT and all tests fail a minority of very capable people. Not all intelligence can be determined by written tests. I don't know why it's true but I do know it's true.
Intelligence very easily can. It's just not the only important human characteristic.

Aurora forecast
https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/aurora-30-minute-forecast With regard to Black female professor. Never forget that she and all of her accompanying female professors, who have been tenured during the last 30 years, have not passed courses with the same level of scholastic/academic scholarship that was required by teachers of any sex/color before 1980. Nope-the dumbing down of our universities takes place during her time as student and is now passed on to her students. Nice eh?
This is the problem with affirmative action. It debased the entire community who are likely to have been given affirmative action. Do you want an affirmative action doctor to operate on you? Do you want a lawyer who was slipped through law school (Michelle Obama) to be your lawyer? Affirmative action is blatant acknowledgement that the class of people who qualify can't do the work so they must be handed the title and we should all make believe that they are competent.
Let me export this to churches. In most of the major liberal seminaries in the U.S. you can now get an M.Div. without ever taking a course in Bible, or learning Greek or Hebrew. So is it a surprise that you get pastors in the pulpit (nowadays mostly women) who are profoundly (and intentionally) ignorant of what Scripture says on things? In fact other than certain handpicked verses that sound good, you will hear almost nothing about Scripture or the Gospel from most mainline pulpits. There is no sin, everyone is good and made in God's image, everyone is going to Heaven, God doesn't care how you live and whether you are obedient to His commandments, and on and on and on. Scripture almost uniformly goes directly against the agenda that is now being preached. There are very simple reasons why all the mainline denominations are in free fall right now. Most are looking at extinction in the next 10-20 years.
I don't doubt the dumbing down of our students - especially those who are likely recipients of affirmative action, but the thing that struck me is that she claimed that she got what she worked so hard for by making good choices but then complained that making good choices is a fraud because she didn't get what she now wants: a child.
Well, she is a professor of Women's and Gender Studies so I find it quite likely that her studies lead her to believe that she was now a victim of her ability to make her own choices. Because she either made the wrong choices for what she now wants or because what she wants is unreasonable (I think the former), she blames her assumptions that blacks are impacted by stress and any number of other things to a greater extent than others. She has given up her power to make a choice and decided to be a victim. She was right all along - if you make good choices, you can write a lot more of your own ticket. Her mistake was to make the choice to study how to be a victim. Anon: This is the problem with affirmative action.
Yeah. All those legacy admissions, and people getting into prestigious colleges because their parents make large donations, just means that whenever you see a rich white guy, you wonder if they are just another affirmative action hire. Soulless, self-referential, grifting urban sophisticates.
The finest running takedown of all that entails and means is probably Tweeter feed The Wrath of Gnon. Of all the things we squandered none is more wasteful than our sacrifice of the spirit of advanced traditional civilization. Architecture is its visible touchstone. "If you want to know what a given society believes in, look at what its largest buildings are devoted to." - Joseph Campbell Pet Owners Wanting to Turn Their Carnvore Animals Vegan
Via my lovely wife, I know two local philosophy professors who drank the vegan kool-aid: Number One tried it out on his dog. When the pup became dull and listless and started shedding hair, he took the dog to his vet. Who asked about the dog's diet, and promptly set Herr Professor straight: carnivores need and eat meat. A diet rich in meat and eggs set the starved pup right again. Number Two was much worse. She inflicted this vegan nonsense on herself and her kids. Stunted her son's growth, though he partially thwarted her by sneaking hot dogs offsite at every opportunity (I suspect the daughters dated fellows who fed them steaks and burgers). Didn't get the message even after breaking her own bones with an advanced case of early-onset osteoporosis. My wife says it best: "Feed me something with meat in it!" Stephen Jay Gould....why the science is not settled and post modernist/Marxists always think their science is settled. You need only redefine the terms of the language among a few other feats of deception.
OK, something very strange. There are people insisting and "proving" that the New Zealand shooting was faked. I'm looking at this stuff thinking how dumb can you be. So I continue to read to try to discover how dumb they can be. They have links to the video. I'm thinking no way I'm gonna watch the video because once seen you cannot unsee it. But one of the videos they kept insisting proved it was fake didn't show anyone killed so I watched it. The video purported to prove that the video was faked by showing that ejected brass just disappeared in mid air. SO I watch looking for their stupid error and sure enough that brass just disappears. They show it in slow motion and you can see it disappear. So I'm still skeptical and begin to watch the rest of the videos and see the so-called errors that were made when they generated the videos. Well... yeah the errors are there, something is wrong, I don't know what but it looks more like a video game and then sometimes looks pretty real.
I'm thinking no way the New Zealand police and government did this or agreed to it and of course it couldn't be faked unless they did. So I don't know. One point they made again and again was that all or most of the video was removed from public availability they think because it was such a poorly done fake that they cannot stand the scrutiny. Anyway, I still believe it happened as told to us but something is just not right with the whole story. I know, I must be crazy to even think this could all be a false flag and I don't think that, it can't be, you can't keep a secret if a couple hundred people know the truth. But something isn't quite right there. You will find some insight here
Everyone should ask the question: why hasn't the western media covered the issues the shooter voiced in his 72 pages of explanation/complaint? I think that is what you are sensing is missing. As to why the shooter's video seems disjointed, I can only speculate that it might be when he stopped shooting to re-load? I have not seen the video and won't watch it if I have the opportunity. However, I do think we need to understand what it was that drove him to this horrible act. If we don't have the facts we will keep on making the same mistake. It does no one any good to tell someone they and all of their ancestors were horrible monsters, etc. That is not going to get the human condition very far down the road toward a better world. However, the reduced problem solving skills of the democratic/socialist/media experts keeps handing that stuff out there as if it is an explanation--it is not. The feralirishman blogspot has some information pointing to a faked video shooting. Interesting.
Gould savagely criticized E. O. Wilson’s ideas on sociobiology and Wilson clearly held a grudge.
“I believe Gould was a charlatan,” he said. “I believe that he was … seeking reputation and credibility as a scientist and writer, and he did it consistently by distorting what other scientists were saying and devising arguments based upon that distortion.” The only thing difficult about this quiz is realizing that the broken web page is never going to respond to your clicks, no matter what browser you use (I tried three).
