We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I’ve tried the English Breakfast tea and like it. The tea is nice and strong and has a slight toasted flavor. The bags are biodegradable which is a bonus feature. For some reason the tag and string are “glued” to the bag and if you pull the, off quickly the bag can rip. It happened to me once and I now pull carefully. I’d be willing to try some of the other flavors.
I think this falls into the "mostly myth" category. My wife and I have stayed in at least one hundred private homes, college dorms, castles, manor houses, etc., in the UK and have never seen an afternoon tea. Most places offer tea as an aside, rather than the main drink. When I question them about drinking coffee instead of tea they tell me that they have always drunk coffee for the most part.
If you are a tea lover you need to know about GH Ford Tea Company. Their tea balls can be used twice and are fantastic.
