We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
What, nobody in Australia has Seniors' Tourettes (ST)?
I had an early onset, myself, which continues apace. It was fun watching one person after another that I knew or worked with succumb to this condition. One notable case was that of the Chief Technology Officer of my next-to-last employer. Watching the PR flacks trying to clean up after him at a trade show was worth the price of admission.
Come to think of it, ST may be contagious. My wife is showing symptoms by and by. I have to keep a close eye on her when we're out at the saloons, especially after she's had a martini.
