By the time it’s all over, Smollett walks, fifty dollar fine. He is simply the victim of Trump’s racist America.

I see two possibilities:
1. He goes to trial and hopes for jury nullification. After all he will get at least half the jury being black.

2. He pleads and agrees to a public apology, but he will apologize in a way that exonerates him and blames Trump AND the judge and prosecutor allows him to do that.

I don't know about Smollett getting off easily. The Chicago PD are really ticked off as is the present mayor, Rahm Emanuel, for giving the city a bad name. Smollett's crime is overlapping wit R. Kelly's arrest for sexual assaults on minors, which has been ignored for decades, but apparently the prosecutors have solid evidence.

Unlike Kelly, Jussie may not serve jail time for the false attack, but his reputation will be ruined as well as his bank account.

Then there's the FBI investigation into the letter Smollett mailed via USPS. Now that's a different subject and a felony.

It's kind of surprising to me that it no longer seems possible to highlight a greater truth without lying. Are legitimate facts really that scarce? Do people really care that little about their credibility now? OK, that's a rhetorical question.

Venezuela is blowing up. It has been at war with it's citizens for years and now they are starving and desperate. Cuba has inserted themselves into this and radical Islam is there as well. How did Venezuela get to this Marxist utopia???

First they took their guns... legally. Their lawmakers voted for gun control/confiscation and their citizens obeyed the laws. Then the government begin their oppressive rule stealing all the wealth and starving the citizens/serfs. This is the Marxist socialist utopia the Democrats want for us. They won't say that of course but watch what they do not what they say. What would be the number one "tell"? It would be a coordinated effort to negate our 2nd amendment rights. What do we say today from Democrats all over the country? A coordinated effort to negate or 2nd amendment rights.

I understand that many people have no interest in guns and probably believe they should only be used for hunting. I understand that the media inflames our society with a constant drum beat about gun related atrocities. But everyone should understand that our 2nd amendment rights are essential to our remaining free. What you see happening in Venezuela today could never have gotten to this point if the citizens had guns. That is exactly why the Democrats want to convince you that we should not have guns. I know many won't believe that, neither did many in Venezuela years ago when their guns were confiscated.

Remember you can vote yourself into socialism but you must shoot your way out of it.

In lawless Venezuela, the Chavista government doesn't bother following the Constitution that Chavismo wrote. Laws in Chavista Venezuela are inked impressions on paper, nothing more- or pixels on computer screens. Why should the law on gun confiscation be any different?

I think 110,000 Yankee combat deaths in that war are reparations enough.

Warren wants reparations for Indians, tool, I read. Closing the reservations would be a good start. Give full title & mineral rights to the appropriate tribe, and then wean them off the Federal government.

The Professor doesn't exist. Fake. He is a scammer with a long history of running fake academic institutions which is an industry in Europe especially attracting gullible Eastern European students. He scammed Papadapoulos by claiming he had all this Russian stuff. You can read his fake entry in Wikipedia and read about the various scams and escapades he has been involved in over the years just by Googling him. Even his lawyers call him a "ghost." He's now operating under a new identity. Of course, you won't get any of this out of the American media. Or the Mueller investigation.

Papadopoulos was told that the Russians had thousands of emails damaging to Clinton. Then he lied to investigators about the source of that information, and about his contacts with people associated with Russia. The lies told by Papadopoulos allowed the professor, Joseph Mifsud, to disappear.

I highly recommend Carreyrou's book bad blood about Elizabeth holmes. She may be the greatest con man ever. She appears to be completely amoral and ran that place like a cult. What I find so shocking is she doesn't learn how to do that apparently it was just instinctive

It's an unexpected consequence of the feminist revolution. No female is required to study, to learn, to master her field--all she has to do is take charge of the budget and the calendar and she is a "leader" ! Doesn't need to understand the science she oversees, nor even the . . .
