We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. The disappearance of snow due to SUV's and cow farts has caused a massive shift in tectonic mass distribution resulting in unprecedented mayhem in the global electromagnetic algorithm (Hopkins, Kettering et. al. 2018). We can see the effects of this in real time as one Lake Tahoe ski resort was just forced to close, causing an unprecedented mass relocation of thousands of tourists.

That is incorrect. While it is true that the Tahoe ski resort actually had to shut down because of too much snow, this is exactly what scientists predicted would happen because of automobiles and meat consumption. (See Damon, Kimmel et.al. 2015.)

Global Anthropogenial Man-Made Climate Warming is a scientific fact. 97% of scientists predict that snow will soon become extinct. Top science researchers are reporting that some species of Arctic Walrus are already exhibiting symptoms of worry and anxiety.

I'm not entirely buying it, NotGasbot. GAM-MCW is not so much the scientific fact you posit as it is a scientific theory, one erected on First Principles. Apparently you put the wind in here and the temperature goes round and round and after a considerable period the warmening comes out here (Dorsey, Wright et. al. 1935).

This hardly constitutes scientific fact as much as it does an overly simplified prediction that leads to all sorts of cartooned moralistic stereotypes (McDowell, Beethoven et. al. 1971).

Do you care to dispense with the wild fantasies (Sellers, Pickens et. al. 1964) and comment more meaningfully on the real science, if I may use the word in such an absolute sense?

While the both of you make valid points, points that only serve to empower marginalized communities across the globe (Dworkin and Heffner 1982), you're failing to acknowledge the elephant in the room: Arrhenius' seminal work (Arrhenius and Griftberg 1889) on the carbon emissions of drunken debutantes, emissions which drove feedback loops that scorched corsets and wildlife alike. For every on-fire polar bear or snow-extinction event in the here and now, there was a drunken, gassy debutante back in the day.

No. Although bison fart measurements are nearly nonexistent between 1820 and 1970, scientists have been able to accurately determine the heat forcing coefficient of bison flatulence by using native american farts as a proxy. (See Brooks, Dunne, et.al. 2016)

That shouldn't be surprising that Demonrats have no problem with Lt. Gov. Fairfax. They had no problem with Kieth Ellison and when they discovered #metoo, only a few had any problem with Bill Clinton and some of them forgot about that when they received some blow back.

They care about nothing and they have no principles other than try to get and hold on to power.

Humph. The article listing organizations and technologies dependent on the magnetic field--written by an idiot. GPS is great, but it only tells you where you ARE. A compass tells you which way TO GO. Both of these instruments are necessary to navigate, and a third instrument that tells you how fast and how far is really helpful.

Your phone also has a compass in it. Not a traditional compass with a magnetized needle on a jewel pivot, but tiny coils of wire around a bit of magnetically permeable metal. There is also an accelerometer that tells the phone which way you ARE GOING and how fast. All of these are necessary for you to be able to yell Hey Siri and find your way to the most trendy coffee shop.

For boats, that's much less challenging than in the old days when you found out where you were using a sextant, used a magnetic compass to decide which direction to go, and used a little paddle wheel on the bottom of the boat, plus guesses about current and leeway, to decide how far you had gone.
