We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Take away from the Lincoln Memorial Incident. If you happen upon a weird situation and you are able to do so, haul out our own phone/camera and tape it/record it. You may be able to save an innocent's reputation and future. CNN was defaming children after all. What did they do to corroborate the story, or did they perform the deceptive editing?

Re The Lincoln Memorial Incident.

If the worst were true and the catholic students did what was reported there was nothing illegal or hateful. Yet the MSM went after them and accused them of hateful acts and causing the confrontation. However when the truth came out it was in fact the Indian and black groups that caused the confrontation, was racist and did in fact act aggressively and used hate speech. But the MSM will not follow up on those facts as eagerly as they followed up on the baseless rumors that fit their agenda about "white kids" (toxic males) acting badly. Our media is out of control and dishonest. Joseph Goebbels would be so proud of them.

Apparently the kids got caught between two agents provocateur. I can't tell to what degree these are false flags or just staged political theater. Think Westboro Baptist Church.
I guess they were trying and succeeded in manufacturing some sort of news event. But, I still don't get it; the Native Americans and the Black Hebrews came across as weird and repugnant; was that the intent? Or is it, that the crank pot activists miscalculated. Did they not anticipate that other bystanders would have cameras and that their vileness to children would be exposed? Luckily, for the kids, the public can determine for itself, how it all went down.

Yep.

The Europe we are familiar with is a dead man walking. They have no need for defensive forces as they won't be around much longer. Besides, global warming/change is a much bigger threat. It's like a man walking down a dark alley being more concerned with getting cancer in the distant future than being mugged in the present, but I digress.

Trends can change to be sure, but it doesn't look good for the indigenous populations.

Would love for an equal discussion about 'toxic femininity.' Toxic femininity are women who hide behind tears and perceived 'weakness' to get their way. Who lie, cheat and pretend to be something they are not when the spotlight is turned on them. This includes:

*Women who abuse men and then cry or use their appearance to get sympathy

*Women who blame men for their own actions and choices when it comes to sex

*Women who manipulate and deceive others to get their way

This is what women do. I should know, because I am a woman. I know my own sex very very well. Watch any episodes of Cops or LivePD to see these tricks in action...especially the fake tears.

Some years back my son and his wife were going through some marital problems. She wanted to go out drinking with other men and he wanted her to stay home with him and the children. Every Friday and Saturday evening there would be an argument which would end up with her calling the cops accusing him of hitting her. He would wait outside until the cops came and they would investigate but not arrest anyone. Finally I had to convince him that sooner or later she would succeed and cut her face or something convincing and he would do time in prison. He had to leave her for his own safety. He did finally. Later she went to jail for drug related charges. After she got out she made her father's life miserable for a few years and finally burned that bridge. I haven't seen the grandkids in about 5 years now she won't communicate with me so I have no idea where she is. But the good news is she is now someone else's nightmare.

It was even worse but I didn't want to "drone" on. The mother would physically mistreat the children simply to antagonize her husband (my son). He was only staying in this failed relationship to protect the children. As I pointed out she would continue to abuse the kids and likely escalate that to get her way and he was better off to leave.

Having been to Cuba, having seen its health care up close (looked into the Emergencias that are all over the place), trust me - you DO NOT want to get basic care there.

Walk into any Urgent Care center here. Clean, well-kept, well-lit. In Cuba, the exact opposite. Often open doors and windows (it's hot down there, remember) with bugs, flies and all kinds of I absolutely don't know what.

Oh sure, you can get decent basic care for a broken arm. If you want to see a general practitioner, there are a lot of them. Get a real problem? Good luck.

I think we can all agree The Agenda the media puts forth is mostly BS (except maybe Zach, who believes all the shit that fits in print from any major outlet).
We know, from basic common sense, experience and statistical analysis that the Left is lying to everyone regularly. Twisting stories, making stuff up, telling people that WE are the problem (WE being anyone with a Libertarian/Conservative view). That WE NEED the state to coddle us, take care of us, help keep us 'safe' not only from external threats, but ourselves.

Of course, THOSE are the lies. Massive, ugly, horrific lies. The Left writes about Trump's lies - yes, he lies quite a bit. But he does the little lie, just a lot of them. They engage Goebbels' Big Lie - and drive it home day, after day, after day.

I wasn't trying to say we're being lied to, but thanks for noting it. I was merely saying that Cuba DOES deliver on what they say they do....but they do it VERY POORLY.

The difference between the Left's media Agenda and Capitalism/Free Markets isn't that there are class differentials. Visit any Socialist/Communist state and you'll see HUGE class differentials. But the lower classes will still have 'stuff' and 'access' - just not a lot and not very good.
The difference isn't access and opportunity. It's quality.

We have more and better of EVERYTHING. But you wouldn't know it to read/watch the MSM.
