We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
When I was younger I used to make silver bands out of quarters by placing them on edge on an anvil and repeatedly tapping on the perimeter. After cutting the center out, you could read "In God We Trust" on the inside. I should have known there was a YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=548qCuDHe_Q
Except of course he didn't. He had to add the diamond to make it a ring. He also didn't do it out of love, he did it for YT views at the request of one of his viewers. He's a jeweler, it's what he does.
Fascinating. But I think he violated the First Rule of Power Tools: Thou shalt not operate a power tool without eye protection. I, for one, would not want flecks of brass in my eye. But hey, he's the jeweler.

Lead in should have read "Man turns 2 hex nuts and a diamond into a diamond ring.
