We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
An amusing but useless assertion. By definition, it allows no conditions by which it could be falsified, and if in order to be true, it has to produce experiences and outcomes exactly identical to those that would obtain if it were not true, then what's the point?
exactly, his thought, his assertion, is an illusion, a figment of his imagination, a noise, a nonsense. Proving himself exactly both wrong and right at the same moment of utterance. Schrodinger at least dealt in probabilities of one thing existing or another existing. Can we get the Brand Name of the Good Philosopher's drug of choice. It's gotta be good to hold that illusion.
Serious question: Where can I find more discussion of "Tokens in Accounts"?
If I understand 'tokens', are not all words a token of reality -- a map of reality? Words are just symbols, either a noise or graphic symbols that are agreed to have a meaning between the agreed parties.
