Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Harping and carping; pissing and moaning; hectoring and lecturing; chiding and scolding; are all part of the human condition. Another subcategory are those who compulsively and pointlessly correct others. Couple this with chicken little, hand wringing, crying wolf, ankle biting, piling on, gossiping and you have today's media; just the current manifestation of the old crones, who have been with us since the beginning of time. The difference is that, if you follow media, it is 24/7 and in your face all the time. I suspect that the 24/7 phenom requires a lot of filler. In addition to this being some opportunist's revenue stream, consumers bear a lot of the blame. I don't know how or if consumers came to be dominated by neurotic cat ladies and adolescents or if it is a matter of not being able to resist watching a train wreck. I don't think this has as much to do with Trump as it has to do with today's media technology and the infantalization of the public. Communists have to be imperialists, or subsidized by one. They can't compete in a free market, and most of them aren't quite efficient enough to seal their borders so that no workers can escape and no commerce (or even knowledge of prosperity) can get in.
Balmier winters, increased food production, greening of deserts, lower fuel consumption, and now fewer tornadoes.
Global warming is simply amazing! Labor unions. What's not to like??
Seasonal UPS Workers Had Almost Entire Paychecks Handed Over To Union: Sheila O’Malley of Charlestown couldn’t believe it when she opened her paycheck from her seasonal job at UPS. “I was shocked,” she told the I-Team. She worked 41 hours that week, many of them during the overnight, and ended up with just $14.52. Sheila assumed it was a mistake and the money would be refunded. In part, because Sheila, like other thousands of other seasonal part time UPS workers, signed an agreement to pay the $500 Teamsters union initiation fee in $32.00 weekly installments. But UPS told her it wasn’t a mistake. https://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/12/20/i-team-seasonal-ups-workers-entire-paychecks-teamsters-union/ Can anyone verify this? Muslim conductor? Really?
Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands attended a concert in the capital, Amsterdam. The Guest Conductor, who just happens to be Muslim, proceeded to give the Queen a lecture on the "beauty" of Islam. The entire orchestra got up and walked out, refusing to be associated with someone lecturing their Queen. The staff of the music hall escorted the conductor off-stage, and after questioning, out of the building. http://www.safeshare.tv/w/cqjiYhtiXs feeblemind: The Guest Conductor, who just happens to be Muslim, proceeded to give the Queen a lecture on the "beauty" of Islam.
He wasn't the conductor, but a Muslim missionary who interrupted the event. The orchestra was asked to leave the stage for security reasons, but returned after a security sweep. I hate to think that my relationship with my wife of almost 40 years began with an act of sexual misconduct since she's only 5'2" and I'm almost 6'.
Kerry can't stand having French peasants looking down their noses at him. HIM!! He ran for POTUS!! He's rich!! The noive of duh peasants!!!!!
Tommy Friedman can't stand TRUMP. Bummmmmmmmmmer, Tommy. I wonder if that's it. I think John Kerry's insufferable snobbery simply cannot stand to see mere peasants enjoying the seaside at the expense of his pristine view of the beach, from his Boudoir. It perturbs the predestined order of his lofty thoughts and this blemishes the magnificence of his reflection.

If anyone bothered to learn their history, they'd have seen that this was the same play the French used to effectively recolonize Mexico during the 1860s, in contravention of the US Monroe Doctrine (Although the US was busy with another bit of unpleasantness at that time) and put Archduke Maximillian on the throne of the Second Mexican Empire. Effectively the French banks put Mexico so far into debt that they foreclosed on the entire country. Re "Tall Men Asking Out Short Women Could Constitute Sexual Misconduct"
Do these busybodies realize that on the average most men are bigger and taller than women? Are those the reflections of police car lights bouncing off the license plates at Maggie's HQ?
