We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
It was hanging up some months ago, but then it got fixed for a while and now it is back to loading slow.
In the lower corner of firefox it is hanging up while "looking up publisher.getkept.com". makes me wonder if it is slow looking up because of a DNS problem, or that it cannot find a file it is trying to load from that site.
My internet connection is 23mb download and it still takes 10-14 seconds to load.
I can't pretend to know what is wrong, but if you substitute numeric URL's for the names, it would bypass DNS and at least prove/eliminate that as a problem.
