We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

 Shoehorned into the festivity of the season is the lame-duck session in congress, and one of the main events it portends is the end of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. The Sphinx-like Mueller has maintained supernatural silence about his tendings and intentions. But if he’d uncovered anything substantial in the way of “collusion” between Mr. Trump and Russia, the public would know by now, since it would represent a signal threat to national security. So it’s hard not to conclude that he has nothing except a few Mickey Mouse “process” convictions for lying to the FBI. On the other hand, it’s quite impossible to imagine him ignoring the well-documented evidence trail of Hillary Clinton colluding with Russians to influence the 2016 contest against Mr. Trump — and to defame him after he won. There’s also the Hieronymus Bosch panorama of criminal mischief around the racketeering scheme known as the Clinton Foundation to consider. Do these venal characters get a pass on all that?

Obama, racism and mommy issues. Yes he has always been this shallow. How did we not notice it in time to save the country 8 years of depression and his crime syndicate? Obama was a puppet, a speech reader who sometimes veered off course when he failed to carefully follow the script. Obama was our Kenyan Manchurian candidate. We can hope that like Nancy Pelosi he keeps grabbing the mike and speaking his shallow mind for all to hear.

That is a result of the Democrats following Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals. The Republicans during Democrat presidencies were more interested in doing their job and not in demonizing Democrats.

However that is exactly the reason I recommend that Republicans appoint special prosecutors to investigate Hillary and Obama's cabinet before Jan 1. One prosecutor per criminal Obama cabinet member. DO IT!! Republicans grow some cajones!!

There is no evidence of a fake dossier. The dossier is a collection of corroborated and uncorroborated allegations. There is no evidence that the FBI lied to obtain any FISA warrants. Not sure which Attorney General to whom you are referring, but Sessions was appointed by Trump.

When Palin was governor, no one cared outside of her home state. It was when she was running as Vice President, that it became a matter of national interest. If she had won, she would have been next in line to the presidency. Ocasio-Cortez is only one of 435 congressional house representatives, which is just one of the two chambers that make up the U.S. legislature.

Palin and Clinton were nominated by major parties to the higher offices of Vice President and President respectively. Such offices are correctly held to much higher standards than representatives in the lower house.

Let's not forget that it was the Americans and British who discovered oil in Saudi Arabia and developed the fields and infrastructure, only to have the Saudis "nationalize" (AKA steal) them. I don't advocate doing so, but it wouldn't be morally wrong to take them back.

Why? Because he recognized that sooner or later they would go to war and why not go to war before your enemy becomes too strong. Wouldn't have been the best possible choice to challenge Hitler before the Nazis became too strong. Ditto for Japan. Waiting too long cost some 50 million lives.

My comment was mostly rhetorical and your interpretation is almost certainly correct, but I would not underestimate the stupidity of most of our politicians and scientists, who might not actually be in with the 'scam', but take it at face value.
