We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
LIC, a once-industrial area of the western tip of Queens, is no longer cheap. I've been there. Some excellent bistros and high-rise luxury apartments. 20 years ago, that was unimaginable. If this happens, all those Amazonians will not be able to afford NYC. They will need to commute from Long Island.
Adams' concept of the "talent stack" is a good one. It helps me understand many things. What is my Talent Stack, and how does it effect my life? (Being a basically positive guy, he never talks about anybody's Weakness Stack which is also a major factor in life.) I also like his distinction between people who order their lives by "systems" and those who use "goals." He thinks systems work better. I had never thought of that. I think he might be correct. It does apply to fitness programs.
Portland has a large and vibrant African American population. And by vibrant I mean don't go there after dark because they shoot people. There are many race baiters in Portland, professional offended black people make a living off racism. If there is no racism they will create it or lie about it. Most of the middle class have moved out of Portland itself and therefore the Mayor and others are elected by the many Portlanders who depend on free stuff from the government so they keep electing far left liberals. This continues there long time far left trend. Sadly Portland politics controls the rest of the state to so even the sane people suffer from this left wing "sickness". It won't get better until it collapses and the free stuff gravy train ends.
Why isn't the MSM talking about Russian collusion much any more? Could be because the story started to be about Democrats colluding with Russia. It got a lot less interesting after that. Not really newsworthy at all, it turns out. A lot of fuss about nothing, in fact.
IF, the Republicans lose the House, they should during the lame duck session appoint special prosecutors to investigate Hillary, John Kerry, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Jeh Johnson, Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, Gina McCarthy, John Brennon, James Clapper and Obama himself. I suspect the entire crew committed treasonous crimes and are going to get away with it. Once the Dems get power back they will sweep everything under the rug. A good offense is the best defense.
One of the reporters on Brett Baier's Fox show last night closed out his two minutes saying, "This is the most consequential election of our lifetime.". My reflexive reaction was, oh FFS, grow up!
I've mixed emotions about it being election day. After tonight I won't have to listen to any more hyperbolic predictions about the outcome - which is awesome - but will probably be bombarded with hyperbolic predictions about the consequences of the outcome.
RE: Judy Munri-Leighton
Just did a Google search on her name, as I expected, under the
NEWS category - Nothing
Under the General category, 10-15 small Conservative sites
discussed what happened, and finally the Huffington Post, the
sole well-known "mainstream" site argues that thusly:
President Donald Trump on Saturday attempted to cast
renewed doubt on sexual misconduct allegations against
Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh by pointing to the
recantation of one little-known accuser.
