We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

And yet, somehow, Trump has executed the office with more energy and effectiveness than any President since at least Ronald Reagan.

I suspect Bob Woodward's standard for "fitness for office" is at variance from that of, say, steel workers in Indiana who are going back to work for the first time in years.

Obama was such an incredibly bad president I didn't think anyone the Republicans put up against him could lose. But Romney managed to do it.

And I watch Korean news from Seoul almost every night, and I can tell you the South Koreans are singing Trump's praises and what he has done to get things moving again with North Korea--working with the South Koreans, just not making meaningless speeches. They had a 15 minute segment on the news last night about Trump, apparently President Moon had a long 50 minute telephone status call with Trump yesterday about where they are, going through developments and what they should do next, with Trump offering to give assistance where he can. Of course, not a peep of coverage from the Fake News (not ANY coverage by the American media as far as I can tell by a Google news search) about these huge things Trump is doing, a lot of it quietly behind the scenes. Who knows whether any of this will work, but again this shows Trump is a hands-on president who actually works his butt off, not a completely ineffective and incompetent boob like Obama was.

Obama didn't "win". Democrat dirty tricks and dirty elections gave him the presidency. You remember those precincts/cities where Obama got 170% of the vote and many of them the Republican got 0%? Statistically impossible to get 0% of the vote and legally impossible to get 170%. Where was the investigation???

Seems to me you settle this disagreement in favor of the side whose choice would inflict less harm; that being the no more kids side. Mom's next move, should she insist on another child, is to divorce dad and marry or find a man that willingly gives her child number two.

The Republicans have made a terrible mistake. They should have appointed a special prosecutor to investigate Obama, one for Hillary, one for the FBI, one for the CIA and one for the DOJ. They should have picked conservative bulldog judges for the jobs too. It isn't too late but somehow I don't expect much if anything from our Republican politicians.

The correct advice to the woman who wanted another baby is that she should become (should have been all along) a sex kitten. Can't get enough loving from her hubby and loves everything he does and loves pleasing him sexually. Not PC, I know, but it is the simple truth. Hubby enjoyed that before the marriage and the baby and know feels he was duped. He may even be making that calculation of what it will cost him to get out of this marriage and actually enjoy life again and a second child ups the ante. Tease him, squeeze him, please him and do him. All smiles and soft moans and loving it even if he is a clumsy lover. If the phrase "are you done yet" crosses your lips you might as well ask for the divorce. Is it fair that you must be soft and feminine, sexy and horny for him? Probably not. But believe it or not that was the bargain you made when you said "yes" and the bargain you are trying to weasel out of now.

Interesting, I didn’t know that Chuck Todd is another democrat in media clothing. Not that I am surprised. Chuck rants and raves about Rush, Shawn and Laura, but none of those three, as far as I know, ever presented themselves as ‘journalists’. In what way is what Chuck proposes, going to be any different than what the media already does? The McCain funeral showed us again, that the only good republican, in their eyes, is a dead one.

Hey Chuck, You ignore stories that would damage your "Trump is evil...incompetent...racist..etc" narrative. You beat the drum of trying to kick him out or discredit his power. You claim that you are just telling the truth and not pushing your political POV. The reason we ignore you is that we know you are full of fertilizer.

And stop claiming that right wing types are a threat to you. That isn't true at all.

A fair media would have given far more time to the terrorist attack by Steve Hodgkinson on Republican legislators. Yet, you barely covered this vicious attack on elected Congressmen. The reason? Pundits like you beating the drum that Republicans are evil and backward pushed a nut into doing something about it...shooting them.

Just to add to the conversation around who should be in the whitehouse. I consider Bill Clinton and Obama the same as Vidkun Quisling (do a google search). You don't like Trump's language, or his women--fine--don't imitate him. However, I love what he is doing for this country! :-)

Didn't bother reading. That's a question that should be answered before marriage. When my wife and I went through pre-Cana in 1978 there were no questions we were asked that we hadn't already discussed. I remember one couple's talk about kids (short version):

Him: I only want 2.
Her: I want at least 3.
Him: I'll just get myself cut after the second.
Her: I hope you love the third one as much as if it it were yours.
****
For us it was:
Her: 14
Me: Whatever.

But then, on our second date she said she wanted 14 and I asked her out on a third date- her first third date. We have 5. But it was truly eye opening what other couple, including ones who had been dating for years, hadn't talked about. OTOH, we met in January, got married in August.

One group is deeply allied with Iran. Another group was found out to have a strategy to cut off Iran with cooperation the Saudis. The First panicked. They MUST stop Trump or loose the gravy train.
