I don't think this is uncommon. Not necessarily for reporters but in everything; jobs, favors, grades, acting jobs... We would have to be pretty naive to believe otherwise. I don't think you can stop it, it is after all basic human biology. Of course where it crosses the line into committing crimes it should be punished, or more correctly the crime should be punished. But this favors for something of value is what most of us do. Most of us prefer cash to sex (I think, after all what is a tip for services?) and many of us are happy to just get a thank you for favors and exchanges we willingly make. Years ago when I worked in a large company with treacherous office politics a single woman who worked their would alert me to "water cooler" comments that might affect me or my projects. I suspect she had a crush on me and was trying to befriend me by offering me information.

All women are like that! That's been their evolutionary mating strategy (HYPERGAMY) since hominids appeared as a species.

Women exchange sex for male commitment and security, but are always trying for the best genes to carry on in their offspring (from Alpha males who are in short supply), yet needing someone (far more numerous Betas) to provide for the safety and long-term provisioning of themselves and their offspring!!!

Your wife is that way, as was your mother and her mother and her mother! The mere fact that you are here today, establishes that fact and yes, AWALT. No exceptions.

Even the clear language in the Constitution, stating that there is in fact, three coequal branches of government, declare that we, the Courts, have final say over everything! Our authority has no bounds. If necessary we shall use legal ease, and sometimes make corrections, by changing words, or definitions of words, to laws duly passed by congress, signed into law by the President, to fit our political beliefs.
