Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Agreed. I suppose they'll have to carry it out with torches and pitchforks, if those haven't been confiscated yet.
This is just bizarre. I realize that England doesn't have a constitution but surely they have some "reasonable" guiding legal boundaries. It is unreasonable that the citizens cannot know about or talk about the horrendous crimes committed by the Muslim criminals. It is even more unreasonable that a citizen would face jail time for speaking the truth about this crime.
Canada/Canadians should take notice of this because their courts and legal system seems to be headed down the same road. Even more bizarre because our laws and freedoms were based on English Common Law.
In Britain, the Parliament is sovereign, not the People.
QUOTE: The study of Anglo-American constitutional law is that of the liberties of the people. Neither a body of dry technicalities, as the demagogue is prone to consider it, nor an instrument new created in the year 1787 and now but an inconvenient impediment to the national destiny, our own Constitution registers the totality of those principles which, in eight hundred and forty years of struggle, the Saxon peoples have won back again from Norman kings, the common law from Roman conceptions of a Sovereign State; each rising wave of freedom leaving its record in some historic document, then perhaps to recede again until the next flood left a higher record still. And if to the Mother Country is due the invention of the Constitution as a bulwark of the people against the Executive, to our forefathers belongs the glory of protecting the people against the Legislative as well; and against the usurpations of any Government or law, even of their own making, on that irreducible minimum which time has shown to be necessary to the English-American people for freedom as they understand it. Give them less than this and they will fight. --THE CONSTITUTION AND THE PEOPLE'S LIBERTIES, F. J. STIMSON. (1907) The UK has an entirely secret court system next to the regular one where the accused isn't even allowed to know what he's accused of...
Mostly used in custody cases by their equivalent of CPS, the parents unable to defend themselves because they don't even know what the charges against them are. The State's assault on the family via it's euphemistically-named family court is not only one of the most effective of all of the the efforts to undermine culture and society, it's one of the right's many blind spots. The crux of it is the unholy alliance of leftist anti-family, anti-father philosophy and good old fashioned rightist authoritarian capitalism - both ultimately get paid and so both conspire together just like a good parasitic democracy should.
The most notable offense I ever saw was by a corrupt Republican judiciary committee chair and now-Senator, astoundingly, a malignant little misfit who violated his State's constitution, privately conspired with judges, and ultimately abused the people who elected him. Far as I can tell this tool is no more a conservative than he is a man possessing a conscience for he bent all sorts of ethics doing the bidding of his masters. At any rate, nobody's going to do anything about it. The juggernaut rolls on because no feminist and no financial interest should have to cow-tow to a right, a due process, a couple hundred years of constitutional precedent, a constituency, a child's genuine best interest, and especially not the health of his or her rearing and that of its society. "I realize that England doesn't have a constitution..."
You mean the UK doesn't have a written constitution of course. English aristocracy demanded the Magna Carta for themselves, but have never had any interest in rights or even education for the (lower class) masses.
The british invented the infamous "star chamber", so it is not surprising that this star-chamber procedure is used to silence people and news. This star chamber behavior to control what the citizens know is assisted by a government-controlled media. The british pay a large tax to support a leftist propaganda agency (the "Beeb") which controlls the news and attempts to control the culture. So the Brits are forced to pay for propaganda to keep themselves uninformed. They should elect reps who will create a right to free speech, free press, and fully defund the BBC. Those who want to continue to use the "beeb" can pay a fee voluntarily. "...forced to pay for propaganda to keep themselves uninformed..."
Perfect, absolutely correct. But then, anymore, I sometimes think they like it that way, the uninformed part leastways. It is UK "Law Enforcement" who enable this. And their spouses know full well what they are, yet they cheer them on anyway. Just as they did with the murder of "Alfie" Evans.
Things will change VERY quickly when those spouses start to die. Not one minute before then, however. Unfortunately, the U.K. is attempting to impose such disorder on us in the U.S. by instigating and contributing to a spy ring organized to take down our president who will have none of this NWO pedophilia long ignored by the Jimmy Saville crowd -- long protected by The Crown and other royals -- and the Vatican.
Note the list of names at the end of the Zero Hedge article. "[T]his NWO pedophilia long ignored by the Jimmy Saville crowd -- long protected by The Crown and other royals -- and the Vatican."
My friend, if you seriously believe what you wrote up there, then you're a crackpot. Not to jump on the conspiracy theory bandwagon, but... Something is going on and being concealed from sunlight. Maybe it is too strong an accusation to blame everyone and every leader but there is this strong and continually resurfacing string of pedophilia that often seems to have ties with these very same groups and others. Is it some vast cabal of pedophilia, some grand conspiracy? I don't know but it should not just be shrugged off.
Seems Britain is morphing into a combination of 1984 and A Clockwork Orange, with the Muslims filling in as the droogs.
Orwell (Eric Blair) did not intend "1984" as an instruction manual.
Yet here we are, knowing all about it. Mock them. Mock them all.
This is not just a sentence of 13 months in jail. It's a probable death sentence, and the judge shrugged it off as Tommy's problem when told so. (Muslim gangs control most UK prisons.)
This is what happens to a country that trusts the authorities to the extent of giving up its guns, a fact that far predates WW2 or even the Soviet Union. Kipling's "Gods of the Copybook Headings" didn't come from a vacuum. There's a petition that might do some good -- but it's to Theresa May, who very likely agrees with Robinson's sentence. Perhaps people should petition Her Majesty instead. Yes, yes, I read that at Men of the West blog. I had never thought of that. Makes the whole fiasco even worse. It’s a nightmare for Tommy Robinson. A real life version of Kafka, with huge high stakes. So hard to conceive of a civilization committing hari kari and destroying a man like Robinson in the process. Freedom of speech not a right in GB?
There are a few more layers to this particular confection, just sayin'
https://twitter.com/Debradelai/status/1001007952076197888 Well... that was, thought provoking. Hmmm. What are the real facts I wonder.
"just sayin'"
Maybe he did deserve to be arrested; but, we don't know for sure what the charges were, what the actual crime was, how was the trial handled, do we? THAT is the problem - not what Tommy Robinson' real name is or what his past is. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/tommy-robinson-arrested-leeds-court-child-grooming-trial-edl-founder-latest-a8368821.html
As you can see, there is plenty of current reporting on the incident with even a cursory effort. I think the initial stories may have been taken down by the press so they could make sure they were reporting the facts correctly. I am not taking sides in this. Pedophiles are the most detestable scum on the planet, especially when they are in positions of authority, and I hold very low hopes that any of them are redeemable except as live targets. But this has little to do with the side spectacle of 'Tommy Robinson's' arrest, which to my mind appears to be tailored to exploit the drama. Looked through some of the tweets.
Didn't see a single link to verify any of his claims. He comes across as a lefty with an axe to grind. That's weird, I'm seeing links to past news stories and videos on about half the tweets, and they all seem to work. If you're talking about the @Debradelai string, that is. I don't follow him, but I think he's pretty conservative. General Michael Flynn is at the top of his page.
