That calories study isn't nearly comprehensive enough to be statistically significant. Two hundred people over two years? Two hundred thousand over twenty might have some meaning.

The obsession with scraping a few extra healthy years in one's old age seems, for some at least, to be a substitute for immortality. Rather sad.

The extreme calorie reduction recommended by some induces sterility. The purpose of life is to have children, not live forever.

Obama ran what may turn out to be the most corrupt administration in history. He put people in charge who were in their actions and beliefs anti-American and anti-constitution. It was intentional. He put into place a deep state government that was supposed to follow his plan even after he left office and do serious harm to our country and our citizens. It was expected that Hillary would win and his agenda would continue as planned. When it became apparent that Trump could win the deep state went into overtime to swing the election and deny the voters their rights. When Trump actually won the deep state went bonkers and committed multiple felonies and treasons to overthrow the vote of the people and the duly elected president. The entire Russian investigation was trumped up exactly for that purpose. In addition the left trumped up a story about Jeff Sessions meeting with Russians EXACTLY so he would have to recuse himself and Rosenstein would be free to appoint a special prosecutor. There was no Russian collusion with Trump and there was no Russian collusion with Sessions. Ironically all of the collusion with the Russians was by Hillary and the Obama administration.

We are looking at an attempted coup, one which could still succeed since the Republicans are clueless and stupid. This is a very real threat to our republic. The Democrats knowingly aligned themselves with Obama and his destructive and illegal acts and now they are engaged in a coverup of their participation. When you see a Democrat congressman on TV or one of the many Democrat flaks on TV defending Obama and/or castigating Trump just understand that they are part of the left wing cabal and are desperate to cover up their crimes and treason during the Obama years.

Thank goodness that Obama was also probably the laziest president in our country's history. Other than making speeches, he had no comprehension of what it took to be president and had no ability to govern, compromise or negotiate. He didn't show up at the office until around 10 a.m. and was usually gone by noon. He spent most of his time flying around the country fundraising and partying. He delegated the law-breaking to lower levels of his administration.

Imagine the mess we would be in if he had the energy and drive of President Trump.

These lame brained ideas don't work. Giving free stuff to people who would choose free stuff over work is like putting fertilizer on your lawn. The result is many more "homeless" and much higher taxes to support the new class of freeloaders.

If you want to help the homeless than set up a process to evaluate them and treat them for their individual problems. Most homeless are chemical abusers and/or mentally ill. It isn't helping them to keep giving them free stuff and absolution from fallowing the laws the rest of us must follow. Treat the chemical abusers with a lock down drying out and some tough love counseling. The mentally ill (and most will be both mentally ill and addicted) will need additional counseling and some decision about longer term committing to mental care. Many of these people also have health problems. If their health issues represent a risk to the population then they should not be allowed back into society until their health issues are corrected.

There is a small segment of the homeless who could be rehabilitated with a job and counseling. This too should be part of the overall program to fix the problem of homelessness.

What we are doing now does not work and is inhumane and potentially harmful to the homeless and the good citizens.
