Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

What is "toxic masculinity"?

I don't know. If it means abusing and exploiting women, then I'm against it. Student calls for 'revolution' against 'toxic masculinity’


If it means letting males off the hook for the arduous task of becoming manly gentlemen with the accompanying virtues that the world (and women) expect, then I would see it differently. Developmental arrest is not a thing to encourage.

Some of those persons are female, but none is the least bit feminine.

"Toxic masculinity" is nothing more than masculinity in all its forms. The SJWs who use that term want to emasculate every man on earth, except the Muslims.

I think this kind of thing is because life is so easy, no wants, no worries, no challenges. But I am a pessimist (or a realist, not sure which) and I think things will change not just for us here in America but for everyone in the world. If we are lucky the disaster will be economic.

Is it toxic masculinity if one were to tell him to f*ck off? Does one have to be male and considered masculine to be toxic? I've heard plenty of females say the same sort of thing.
