We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Actually, indications are increasingly that this was very cynical exercise aimed at combining a family vacation on the Canadian taxpayers' dime with open political campaigning aimed at increasing Liberal support among Canadian Sikhs. With Jagmeet Singh elected head of Canada's NDP party, the concern among Liberals is that some of their Sikh support will head that way. Despite what's been said about the Trudeau family's Indian outfits, they were all really Punjabi/Sikh, as were the sites they visited for the various photo ops. The Hindus were virtually ignored.
I, too, tried to share it as a comment in a "private" Facebook group and this morning when I logged in got a warning about it. I didn't end up in Facebook jail, at least, but it was rather alarming to see that Facebook would be monitoring that in a supposedly "private" group (where many people have posted images that are a lot worse--this one could have been published in National Geographic back in the day).
