re: Waterhouse painting of the nymphs: This story is a little out of date, as it occurred a couple of weeks ago. The public outcry was immediate and full-throated, although I think the museum tried to cover its overtly politically-correct blunder by pretending it was all part of a 'stimulating conversation' plan. I personally go to art museums to see the art rather than receive social instruction, and apparently there are others in this category too. After a week of public condemnation and shaming, the painting was returned to its exhibit. The comments at the story are worth reading. Maybe the museum should offer an exhibit on the Puritan's use of the village stocks, and assign a couple of policy makers as live exhibit subjects.

I would suggest instead that they procure an Iron Maiden or similar and assign said policy makers as "live" exhibit subjects for same. Stocks and the intended use thereof are FAR too mild for the treason and sedition which has been done.

I suspect that the concern is that the male figure is of a "Hero" who "accomplishes things". The little nymphs are just "enemies" of those who might be "successful". They are just in the way... Their only agency is disruption.

I might have bet they were surprised at how easy it was to get a FISA warrant from a gullible/complicit judge except they told us this sort of thing would happen when debating The Patriot Act. We should have believed them and realized they were the ones who would do it.

Always remember, Democrats are almost always guilty of what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing.

My mother-in-law 'returned' a 20+ year old LLBean jacket that she had gotten good use from during that time. It was not in tatters but a bit worn and out of style. I expressed my disagreement with her doing this, she asserted that LLBean took this sort of thing into consideration when pricing their product. Perhaps, but now they are amending their policy because people, like my mother-in-law, increasingly abuse it in this way.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Bed Bath & Beyond has a similar 'no questions asked' return policy. No receipt or proof of purchase is required. People return products that are in a terrible state worn or abused) all the time, even products that could not have been purchased in a BB&B store (!!!???) and still the store policy honors the returns. It's beyond belief but it probably also explains why their financials are in the shape they're in. Some enforcement is always required to keep people from unduly favoring temptation.

"Gender trouble"
On the radio yesterday a women was being interviewed about her book titled something like "the conversation women should have with men" (I probably have that wrong). So it started off as expected women are paid less, women are under appreciated in the work place, women are interrupted 50% more than men in meetings. The usual stuff intended to separate us so the author can than try to remake us in her image. She said many stupid things but one stuck out. She said that since women get interrupted in meeting that it is the responsibility of the men who are present to jump in and say let Mary finish please don't interrupt. So I'm yelling at my radio "how stupid can you be?". If the idea is that men and women are equal and we want a work environment that is fair what on earth would make you think that rules designed to give one gender special treatment is either the way to accomplish that or supports your thesis that men and women are equal? Without exception her ideas of how to make the workplace more gender neutral and more fair were nothing more than special treatment for women because she believes without that they cannot compete. My god! This is idiotic. How can they say those things and believe what they believe? Do they even listen to themselves.

The problem is that it is exactly the naive liberal activist SJW "types" who seek office and judgeships just so they can save us all from our Neanderthal backwards ways. Most do not learn, this woman is the exception. Most continue to harm society in the name of virtue signaling to keep them "in" with the in crowd. These are the people running for office, most as Democrats but some in the Republican party. There are two kinds of far left virtue signaling SJW's; those who act out what they are proudly and naively and those who know they cannot get elected unless they lie about what they believe in. Both of them intend to destroy us. Not that their intent is to actually destroy us but that their intent is to go down that path to destruction in the belief that "diversity makes us stronger" or something.

That German woman is a bit slow. Look how much it took to make her see her error. Now, she has the neck to accuse the Mohammedans of being brain-washed! She still cannot see that the only brain washed, was her own. To cap it all, she insults the people of the Middle Ages, who, in the case of the Europeans, were far more clear-sighted about the identity of their greatest enemy than this fool and those that brainwashed her. The tragedy is, that, in at least realising her mistake, this one is far more intelligent than most of her peers and the 'intelligentsia' (never was a word more inappropriate) that manipulate them.
