We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
A wonderful story. I started as a mathematics major and always found number theory and primes fascinating. All of what is described here is well beyond me, and likely beyond even what I could have done had I stuck with it. I understand the beauty aspect. You look at something, and you look at it and look at it, and then suddenly see what the answer must look like, or where it must be, even though it is distant.

What a wonderful article. The beauty of this man is his ability to contemplate so deeply in his mind. This kind of focus amazes me. Truly remarkable.
